I have a CR1 as well. I’m back in my car but it’s not fixed. I was told the engineers think it’s a software issue and are working to figure out how to fix it. When they do, an update will be sent
I interpret that to mean an update will be sent to you? Or, did you happen to get some specific information that some sort of communication will be sent to all or some subset of owners?

Sooo….since June and multiple visits, they’ve updated and reprogrammed the software on the IMPA and PSC, replaced the IMPB, reprogrammed the SOBDM and BECM using FDRS, replaced the cables connecting to the modules/cameras. They showed me photos of all the work needed to replace the cables.

Nothing worked so far. The last fix currently, however, is they have replaced the camera on the windshield and that one is working so far. Crossing my fingers.

This is some serious labor. I hope they tightened everything up when put back together. Did they also do a rewire of the camera system, like was mentioned on the other thread?

I believe so, they said they rewired the cameras with this big job but they didn’t specify which cameras, actually.
And I’ve yet to get my car back, they’re still testing it to make sure it’s good.
On the one hand I’m glad they’re thorough and the dealership have been good to me, lending me a hybrid for the past few times. But I really do just want mg car back.

Holy cow and a half!!!! You can't beat the poor master tech for effort on this one! Seriously dove into this problem head-on. Did a Ford regional specialist help out at least in-person? My biggest fear is you'll find a stray screw or bolt somewhere later on under the mat and think hopefully this wasn't important.... Wow! After my entire dash was removed on a prior car I found a stray screw... ehhh, must of not been vital, ha-ha. My MME is still in the shop and FC was replaced along with 2 IPMA's! So far it's testing out OK..... on tech road trips.
Yes, mine is still on tech road trips. We will see about the stray screw when I get my car back, whenever that will be

ANOTHER UPDATE: Dealer replaced Gateway telematics module (GWM) and updated programming per March 2022 TSB 22-2123. Evidently, they discovered my Sync navi traffic was not loading correctly during the troubleshooting. Lane-cantering & warning was also spotty but BC worked. I was having trouble getting the 2nd Power-up OTA update to work in Sync and my FP had weird connectivity issues on/off in Aug. Advisor & master tech are still road-testing vehicle every day (for lunch runs, ha). So far it looks very promising! So, please don't give up on your MME if this is happening! Stay tuned to this station, ha! What an expensive R&D process (part 2) for Ford.... after production?

Ford's BEV CS team is offering an extended warranty when the 3rd repair is complete... Ah, I will gladly take it!

Sounds like you had lots of issues to work through! Definitely keep us updated , because I'm curious how the GWY module affects the camera (or not).

I actually didn’t think about that. When I was told they were working on an update, in my mind, it’s for everyone that has this problem. Haven’t heard anything yet though. My camera fault has come up about 3 times in the week I’ve had it back but goes away quickly.

I dropped mine off again for the second time. Not a member of the 3rd time club yet as I was waiting for some time to pass and see if anything developed on this thread with a solution.

I’m gone for 18 days on a trip so thought now would be a good time to give it to the dealer. When I dropped it off, the dealer service rep was just talking with the ford engineers and they were sending out 2 engineers on Tuesday to look at it. I’m in western Michigan so I assume these engineers are coming from Dearborn headquarters. I told the dealer if the engineers needed to take it back to Dearborn to figure out the problem, to do that. We all want this problem resolved and will keep everyone informed what I hear.
Update: last Tuesday two ford engineers came out from Dearborn (confirmed) and reapplied an update (maybe TSB-22-2295 ?) but provided different update data parameters to fix the issue. I talked with the dealer service rep and I was not able to get any specifics other than the engineers said the dealer did nothing wrong and it was on the ford side with the wrong parameters. I just called and asked them to do some road testing with the vehicle as it has sat for the last week. I didn’t want to report anything until I had more detail. I will provide an update in another week when I get home and drive it myself.

I haven't seen either of these fault messages in over a week. Hmm?
?

No hardware or software changes.
I still think there is a reasonable chance this might subside for the winter and return next summer. Just a gut feeling....

Very curious ... That could explain why the TSB isn't apparently working for those of us who've had it performed. ?Keep us updated! Your post is the most optimistic I have read in a while.

same…. Still having it randomly, but it’s incredibly less frequent.

quite interesting….

outside of an OTA update, can Ford make remote changes to our cars??? Or is it simply weather?!

@SnBGC has held the weather theory for quite some time, and I've disagreed this whole time based on what appeared to be randomness, but as time goes on I have to admit that I know nothing, and who the heck knows what spurs the issue to occur more frequently or become permanent. I'd be happy if it were as simple as weather.

.....and I spoke too soon.
Took a drive out to visit a jobsite and got BOTH fault messages immediately after backing out of my parking spot. Was hoping they would stay away for a while but no such luck. :(
