One of the bigger shocks will be lack of some creature comforts. No leather. You can’t (dumb decision ford..) option it. The seats may not adjust as much as your jag did. I hear the GT seats are better. If you have multiple drivers the manual adjustment of the steering wheel will probably annoy you. I am fortunate as I’m the only one who drives mine. I’m happy ford is finally listening about having additional colors. They’ve made refinements over my 21 and I’m glad for it.

OP, I loved it so much I bought a second one after my launch 2021 Mach-E. Upgraded to a GT.
There have definitely been "glitches" and software growing pains, mostly, but the experience as a whole has been great, and I regret nothing about it. Best car(s) I ever owned.

2022 MachE Premium and love it. Zero issues and 50,000 miles because it is driven for work.
My biggest problem with the MachE is the charge rate of 150KW. Honestly I almost never would use it because we charge at home, but the capability for a faster charge on a long trip would be nice.
We love to hear that you're enjoying your Mach-E, Daniel! We'd love to see a pic.

36K miles and I still love it. I’ve never had a car that “got better” over time!
That's great to hear, Jim! Here's to another 36k miles.

I’ve had my Mach E Premium for almost four years now and absolutely wouldn’t replace it.

I’d get a Mach E Rally
We love to hear that, Mark! That Mach-E Rally was designed to break free of constraints and the open road and take Mustang performance to dirt roads. If that interests you, we totally recommend it.

You should test drive a variety of EV CUVs to determine what you like.
I think the Kia EV6 looks like an Ipace. But no much deals compared to Ford. The Hyundai/Kia twins are quite admirable on EV tech outside of Tesla and Chinese brands. The latter is moot at this time.
I went out and looked at several EVs and I do not like the Korean EVs. I do not like the design language they use. The Mach-E is one of the better looking EVs for the money. The I-Pace is pretty rare and we get compliments on it as it does not really look like an EV.
The hyundai EVs look like something from TRON or a Catfish. Surprisingly the new ID4 felt pretty nice and roomy inside.

I have been very happy with my 2021 Mach-E and would absolutely buy it again.

This ventilated seat thing is overblown. As long as you get a Mach-E with perforated seats, it does not need ventilation. I have some familiarity with Jaguar, their HVAC system across their lineup is weak compared to American standards. I promise you ventilated seats or no, a Mach-E with perforated seats is going to be very noticeably more comfortable in hot weather compared to an I-Pace.

That being said, if you really liked the I-Pace and are OK buying preowned, why not consider a 2022+ I-Pace? If fast charging and range aren’t important for you, an I-Pace is going to be much more luxurious than a Mach-E. If you don’t care for that, you probably could save some money and get a new vehicle now if you shop existing 2024 Mach-Es on dealer lots that need to be sold ASAP instead of being first in line for a 2025.
The ventilated seats are not so much for me as they are for my spouse. We live in the mountains and my spouse gets car sick so the ventilated seats help with that. Also, I cannot attest to the rest of Jaguars line up but with the I-pace the a/c is very cold. I attribute that to the electric compressor rather than the typical belt driven one on an ICE. Since I posted this, I am reading that the buyback offer will be substantially better to get into another JLR product. So, we will see. Right now that will be the deciding factor, the offer. Right now we are looking at a I-pace 23+ or a Mach E. Only hesitation with the Jaguar is the service or lack there of not to mention, who knows that is going to happen with Jaguar in the next couple years.

Good timing anyway to exit the I-PACE, unknown path forward given the vast changes with brand image.
I do not get too upset over a commercial. It does not bother me if they are trying to be all "artsy" or "new age". I am more concerned about the service and support for it over the next few years. Personally, I think everyone is reading way too much in a 30 second commercial with a bunch of people in pastel colors walking around.

I got my 2024 Premium 4-Xt at the end of July and absolutely love it. So does my wife. With the addition of a neat pump and ventilated seats in 2025, it is at the top of my list when my lease is up in 2027.

I see, in that case, if you do decide to go for the Mach-E, I think you should focus on GTs with magneride since some people have complained that the Mach-E without magneride feels bouncy and that might be something someone who gets carsick would be sensitive to. Ford said they revised the suspension for 2025, but I don’t think anyone has been able to test it yet.

I haven’t had any luxury cars. And I don’t think this is the best car I’ve ever had. But it was the best EV for me back in 2022. And I don’t think the interior is cheap

I’m not sure if I will buy another one or not when it’s time for me to get a new car.
The only thing I’m bummed about is the 5 second limit on my $60K GT.

My cars.
96 Camaro SS
97 Mustang GT
01 Corvette
03 BMW 330i
06 GTO
11 Mustang GT
22 Mach E GT

Cars I bought my wife
03 Jetta Sport
06 Grand Caravan
09 Grand Caravan
15 Explorer Sport
23 BMW i4 40

And I had a 13 Nissan LEAF for a few years while I parked the 11 GT. Now that’s a car with cheap interior.

I’m thinking about a BMW i5 M60 though.

I will not be caught dead in a Prius. Ever.
I like your list *a lot* better

Perhaps. But sometimes there are subtle hints that a company is poorly managed and is losing its focus. And sometimes the hints are not subtle at all...

I liked the I-Pace, and very nearly bought one before I got the Mustang three years ago.

To your questions, I like the Mustang a lot, I would buy it again, and service has been excellent from Day 1 - that part varies, depending on the dealer you use. Good luck with your decision!

I own both the I Pace and an MME Select AWD, both 2023 models. The MME just doesn’t compare to the I Pace in my opinion. The I Pace corners like it’s on rails and is a true luxury car, and if you didn’t know better you’d never know it is an EV based on the interior. I hate the GIANT screen in the MME and the general lack of physical knobs and buttons (but then again I don’t drive it that often).

As mentioned previously, the MME charges 50% faster than the I Pace, but then again the I Pace charges 100% faster than our other EV, the Chevy Bolt. Yes, we are a three EV family. We don’t travel often with the EV’s (I also have an ICE vehicle), except my son who drives the Bolt to college two states away!

I don’t use the ventilated seats all that often, but they are nice on long drives in my ICE vehicle and the I Pace.

Hi all,
I’ve been on this forum before looking at a Mach-e before we started our EV journey. In 2022 we bought a 2019 CPO Jaguar I-pace with 9k miles. We love the car, hate the dealer service. Unfortunately, we just found out that our car has a battery recall and Jaguar is going to buy back all the US 2019 models instead of replacing the battery.
Truthfully, we hate that decision. We finally got all the known problems fixed and we really like the car.
The one deciding factor for a Ipace over the Mach E was ventilated seats. Now I see the 2025 Mach-e will have them, we may be looking into one.
What is everyone’s opinion on the Mach E? Would you buy it again? Everyone manufacturer has horror stories. Has service gotten better?
thanks
I have had a 21 performance and now have 23 gt pe. I think the magnaride suspension feature on my gt is a desirable option (my wife’s first comment in the car was what an improvement). My experience has been great. The ota updates in my 23 have been timely. Car performance is impressive but drive one on different road surfaces. The suspension is sporty and Michigan pot holes give a bounce, not a cloud ride. I’ve bought 2 so would buy it again. I find the perforated seats very comfortable.
