Sorry about the loss, good to see everyone is alright. I really expect my days are numbered with some of the shenanigans I've been seeing on our roads lately.

That’s bad. Glad it wasn’t worse.

Premium ERs are most likely available on lot. Same car without the badging of course. Neither a trade up or trade down though.
Glad you are ok! My 23 GTPE has been issue free for 6k miles. Understand that is not a long term test, but so far, it's a joy. 0% financing is also a joy! Good luck with whatever you decide!

So I drove a GTPE and had a blast. I’m not sure the sales person enjoyed it as much.

I’ll probably end up with a local Bolt that is currently getting a new battery. It’s $16k after rebate. It has 8k miles. Then I’ll order a Rally. Hopefully I will have it sorted by Friday. There is a GTPE coming to my dealer but I think they are going to ask too much.

If I bought a used MME I would most likely Not order the Rally.

Picked up my 2022 GTPE order in December. At the time, I was able to get it at MSRP.
Comparatively speaking, that would be high now, but I keep cars long enough that I haven't lost any sleep over it.

6,200 miles later, no problems and I love it. Love it even more since they've dropped Cyber Orange from the color options.

The Rally is an interesting option. I prefer the GTPE, but to each their own.
You appear to be coming from a Mach E 4x 1st Edition Premium. Everyone's use profile is unique, so this may not make much difference, but you'd be losing 20 miles of range.

On the black trim over the wheels, you'd probably hardly notice it at all on a Shadow Black MME. Carbonized Gray may help too.

Well, Crap!

I said goodbye to My 1st Edition the other day. A high school kid did an illegal U-turn in front of me. LeeLou is dead! I just found out she's "totaled." Valued at $45k.

I drove home 2 miles after the incident and (other than the red hood in the way of seeing the road) I couldn't tell I had been in an accident. It drove perfectly.

My Replacement Choices Are Not Good: I don't see that Ford has made significant progress toward fixing the GT issues list in plenty on this site, and the Ralley Edition is too far away to wait. I need a car now. Five drivers and two cars, is not going to work.

I will probably just get a used Bolt while I figure it out.... unless I get a better idea/option.

The premium version are available readily at most dealers the one locally here in orange county California has at least 50 on their lot that they haven't been able to sell for a couple of weeks or months for that matter so getting even a GT or base model is not hard either they're all available you can even order one if you want but no first additions California right ones I think there was a couple of those on the lot here locally try Theodore Robins Ford if you're in Southern California.

Not sure why the Bolt is getting dumped on (a bit). I have a 2019 Bolt and a Job 1 MachE. The MachE is absolutely a nicer car to drive - no question.

But the Bolt is actually a LOT of fun and pretty darn practical. Because it's smaller, it feels a lot more "whippy" than my MachE and at least "off the line", in Sport mode, it is quicker (for a little while ;-) than the MachE. And they are "dirt" cheap (relative) - especially after federal and state incentives - and plentiful (you can easily drive off the lot with a new one today in the $20-30k range).

My opinion - it's a great car for running around town or in this case, a "bridge"vehicle.

I have done a 700+ mile road trip in my Bolt (Delaware to Michigan) and while it wasn't as comfy as the MachE and charge stops were definitely longer and I'd prefer the MachE on such trips, it wasn't bad at all and in some ways, again because it is small/whippy - had moments of pure fun!

It's not a MachE (or Tesla, i4, etc) - but it is cheap, fun, solid and readily available

Glad to hear you walked away from that accident. As far as replacement options, perhaps you want a car with a bit more visible color and (in)famous presence… and within your replacement price range? Bonus, you know the service history of the car!

Link

That’s right! Driveway.com has OG Mach N Cheese somehow sitting on a Ford dealer used car lot in Boise Idaho for only $44,995! It’s been sitting there a long time at this point, and they haven’t reduced their price on it. I know driveway paid me $2k more than this so someone’s definitely losing money here!
It says sale pending... So it might be on it's way to it's new home soon.....

Interesting take on the Bolt. I tried an EUV, it seemed dead slow to me. No where near “fun”.

There are 2 versions of the Bolt, the EV and EUV, which was available starting with the 22 Model Year. It has a longer wheelbase and wider turning radius, and slower 0-60.

I have a Select and an EUV and the Select feels a second faster to 60. Your GT would be about 3 seconds faster. The EUV has light steering and the eco tires don't have much grip. My Select feels more fun to drive: firmer steering, feels stickier to the road, better brake feel.

If I were the OP, I would get a used GTPE, they're around $40k now. I just test drove a 22 with 31k for $42k.

I looked at a used 2022 GTPE. WTHell no glass roof and no front or 360 cameras, but I could open the Frunk from the screen. No thanks. Also no Black MME for me. At least I'm narrowing it down.

It had under 2k miles on it and nearly bald tires. Dang that could get expensive.

Damn AJ!
Very sorry for your loss, very glad you’re Ok.
Terrible to see the pics of a fellow first adopter in WA state’s, crunched up MME. I remember our first conversations and excitement at that exhibition of the demo car in Kirkland.
Hope that whatever ride you choose moving forward keeps you happy.
Best of luck-Todd

Couldn’t agree more. I met AJ at the dealer when I picked up my identical FE. He actually saw my car twice before I did. He got me my first picture in the railyard. So sorry for his loss extremely glad he is OK.

I completely agree. We still have our first model year 2017 and have NEVER regretted that purchase. Getting a new battery just shy of 50k miles despite every cell testing normally, killer. We will likely have this car forever.

I picked up a 2020 Bolt Premier while I wait for my next MachE, probably a 2024. I’m waiting for the order books to open. Or maybe I’ll get an Aptera.
