I guess the OP didn't know that some things should just be kept to himself on a car forum.
Like mentioning a car that he acquired. ?

Man Teslas sure live in some people's head. They're just cars.

I am 100% certain you don’t buy a cyber truck unless you want attention. That’s why you buy unique, exotic, etc. vehicles.

Good or bad.

OP is getting what they paid for.

lol... what would you expect, posting that on a MME forum? I suspect he was hoping for some "interesting" comments... ? I also suspect he doesn't really care. ?

I'm surprised you would conclude that there is only one reason that anyone would......... anything

I am employed in the private aviation industry. Arguably the wealthiest people in the world own $20-40 million dollar jets.

I assure you that there are all kinds of people who own them. And I admit that some percentage of them likely fit your stereotyping.
But there are many who are way outside those boundaries.

Big Bend is one of my favorite places on the planet. I have ridden many 100's of miles off roading there. Admittedly mostly on 2-wheels. But I would LOVE to go have fun there in a Cyber Truck. Something tells me it would be a hoot! And while it would be fun to show up at the Starlight Cafe covered in the days evidence, being seen wouldn't even be close to why I want to thrash the CyberTruck there.

A few miles from where I live is a race track owned and built by "members". A lot of "exotic" cars are owned and kept there. Those cars are never seen in the public. It's just guys who have the means to experience driving a Ferrari or Porsche the way they should be experienced.

So the people highly known for doing things for attention? I don’t think Bezos is having a $600 million super yacht out of necessity.

Someone is driving around one of the most controversial vehicles made by the worlds richest person who spends all day stirring up people on his social media platform.

That isn’t a vehicle you buy to lay low and not get noticed.

Sorry, butt ugly. I'm sure all those interior and ride descriptions are accurate, but the exterior is atrocious. People buy most things, including cars, based on an emotional aesthetic resonance - otherwise we'd all be driving Toyota Camrys and Honda Accords. I'm sure there are "better" EVs than the Mach E, but none of them move me or put a smile on my face like when I look at my pony.

Too bad, as I am genuinely interested in the minds of people who acquire a CyberTruck when there are a few good alternatives. Especially from one who is not vested in Tesla ecosystem. Why not one of those Rivian truck?

Well here's one way to lose an MME member. Class acts gang.

What makes you think he's gone? I'm sure he's just reading all the comments, having a good laugh. Enthusiast forums are not the place for thin skinned folk.

Well, It's pretty cool in my opinion. Obviously not for everyone. But damn, you talk about different and BOLD!!! I really like Elon's audacity. Love him or Hate him, (which I know most of you do, but wouldn't have an EV if he didn't disrupt the industry) he is courageous!!

My Brother got his Tri-Motor CT 2 months ago. I need to get down to the panhandle and see/drive it!!!

So the cybertruck has the full self drive ? One of the main reasons I got my Mach E is the blue cruise. My Mach E drives better than most of the other people on the road here ?. The CT looks like a giant Delorean. I think it looks neat. Enjoy ! Screw the haters. You have that kinda money you do what you want with it. I'm gonna stick with my dirt cheap 21 Premium.

On new years eve I finally got delivery of my Tri-Motor Cybertruck, which I will be driving mainly from this point on. However, I will still be holding on to my mach-e. Here is a photo of my metal refrigerator (on the left):

Some initial impressions I have of the car:

1. The software experience is lightyears ahead of the Mach-E. The responsiveness, features, design, and fluidity of the display are unmatched.
2. FSD should be available on all cars. The way you are able to just enter a destination on the nav and FSD can drive you from point A to B is unreal.
3. Interior materials for the most part are great. Leather on the doors, suede on the roof, and very seats that are heated (all) and ventilated(front only).
4. Charging speeds on v4 superchargers are great. I am able to get a peak of 350 kW out of the truck.
5. Ride quality is also much better than the mach-e due to the adjustable air suspension.

My mache has been at the dealership for the last 3 weeks and I been in my jeep being a menace while delivering amazon packages. If i could afford to eat the 15k I am upside down on my car ... I would happily get a cyber truck for my amazon flex'ing side gig. Running shiz over all the while costing zero in gas/electricity... . Super jealous! Enjoy that ugly behemoth junk of medal
