I have my 2021 (Found at dealer because my order of 6+ months is sitting and doing nothing) is a very nice car. The electronics are unstable at best here's what I found so far:
1-Radio stations change randomly. I tried a few fixes mentioned on this site and had limited success.
2- Rear view camera randomly stays on for 10 minutes in a new drive.
3- Puddle lights worked once. (Tried most of the recommended solutions except wearing a tin foil hat in a thunder storm). Why is this so hard to activate?
4- Heater was set to full following a quick stop at the store. (I live in AZ and it was 83 yesterday. This is windows down weather and comfort system went from off to full heat)
5- Rear hatch set point sometimes does what was instructed and others no (I always end up in driver 1 position after doing the change early in the drive for the radio station conga)

This is after one week- I luv the drive. It's smooth, quiet, fast and very comfortable to drive but my 5 year old Honda had very stable electronics and its taking away from the joy of ownership. All software up to date on the car BTW

Geez, i'm sorry your new ride is acting crazy. Do you know the build date of the car? I went out of my way to get a car built in the later half of 2021 because I believe the kinks would be worked out. For me they have, I haven't had a lot of the issues stated by other people in the forum.

If I was you i'd take that car right back to the dealership and cause a stink. Completely not sure if that will do anything but its worth a try.

I think your car has issues. You should take it in. I've had my car for 10 months and

1) Never had a radio station change without me initiating it
2) My rear view camera stays on for about 10 seconds after shifting into drive. But that's a setting I've turned on. Never stayed on longer than that
3)Puddle lights work exactly as expected. Not a big deal to me either way, though.
4) I live in SoCal and have only used the heater occasionally. But the settings are set at turn-on the way I left them when exiting the vehicle.
5) I park in a garage and the rear hatch point is important to me since it would hit the garage door if it didn't work. It has never failed to stop short of the garage door since I got the car.

Seriously, either you have some dramatic issues with the car or some dramatic issues setting things up properly.

Strange. I get a bunch of bugs (almost one a day) but I haven’t had any of what you’re describing.

Other than the backup camera thing, the rest sound like settings that could be linked to a profile.

I would start with your profiles, make sure you have a specific one linked to your phone and fob and that it’s recognizing them.

Car was built in December. Dealership "IT guy" was useless and I had to discover and read the 490 page manual. I may try deleting my profile and starting over.

My wife and I have 2 with 10,000 miles combined and have seen none of these. I'd take it back, you have a bad something-or-other.

OR, you need to have a system reset to factory to clear out the cobwebs.

Just wait till you get into the "Key not Detected" drama....
Sometimes it detects a key that's not there. Yesterday, I went to the car with no key and no phone anywhere within range. The door promptly unlocked for me. When I got in and pushed the brake and start button, the car (quite correctly) said key not detected, so I put in the backup start code - about a dozen times before it started. When I went to put it in reverse, however, the car went nuts honking horns and flashing lights till I exited and entered again. I re-entered the start code and was able to dial reverse. Later, I saw a message in FordPass that said the "security system has detected a vehicle intrusion and triggered the alarm."

I think "wonky' is a good description.

I’ve had many of the same experiences as you in both of my Mach Es. I’ve had a job 1 and now a job 2 build. The job 2 build has far less, but they’re still occurring pretty regularly.

I typically use PaaK, despite how infrequently it works the way it should. Eventually, the car usually figures it out or I’ll have to pull out the phone, remote start the car from my driver’s seat, and then it will finally turn on. What I’ve noticed is that if I keep the FordPass app closed and use the key fob (which is tied to a profile I created) then I seem to not have any problems.

It may not be the best solution, but have you tried keeping FordPass closed - or even uninstalled from your phone - and relying solely on the key fob?

I get the "windshield wipers activating for no good reason" bug.

I hate them swiping across a dry windshield, so I keep them turned off until it rains then I put them back on auto and forget about it. Then I get the "dry swipe" GRrrrrr

Ohh, I got a worse camera bug. sync crashed backing out of my driveway and I had the frozen backup camera image stuck on the display for my entire commute to work. not to mention I couldn't use the radio. Fortunately, it was magically working when I left at the end of the day.
