I believe there is a difference between 23 GT seats and 24 GT seats. Specifically, my 23 GT is a non PE, and had different seats. I think for 24 on up all GTs have the GTPE seats. There is some bolstering difference, and I belive some material difference.

I for one am very happy with my non PE GT seats.

Hi,

I got my first EV a 2025 Mach-E Premium over the weekend and I'm lovin' it !!

Has anyone swapped out their front two seats for the GT seats, if so is it an easy install?

I would love to have those seats in my Mach-E.

Thanks in advance.
I don’t think I’ve read about anyone doing it, but there isn’t really much involved when it comes to seats- a few bolts and a couple wire harnesses.

What I would be worried about is whether or not the power seats, memory seats, seat heaters etc would still work.

Your best bet would be try to find a locally GT or GTPE owner who’d be willing to swap.

Everyone seems to have a different preference when it comes to these seats as to which they prefer.

Is there any difference between the '21-'23 GTPE seats and the '24+ GT seats?
No. Exactly the same seats. I had the '21 GTPE and now the '24 GT and that was the second main reason I got that trim. My back likes firm, supportive seats especially on longer trips.

I generally find the seats in my '24 GT supportive and comfortable in all aspects. As described by Ford the seats have: Activexā„¢ Trimmed Seating Material with Unique MikoĀ® Reflective Inserts and City Silver Stitching

The seats are only "trimmed" with the Active X leather substitute and they have a cool looking cloth with reflective material under it for the center seat and backrest cushions. They do a great job holding me and the wife in place when I'm cornering hard enough to send everything else in the car flying across the back seat.
Thnx, any chance of a picture of the seat base, pls?

I have not noticed that issue on my '24 GT.
My GT doesn't have this problem either. The seats are very comfortable and have very good lateral support.

Which seats went from 8 way adjustable to 10 way adjustable in the new models?

I believe all seats that are powered went from 8 way to 10 way in '24. What I meant by the 21'-'23 GTPE and '24 GT seats being exactly the same was the design of the seat itself, not the powered part of it.

Ate the GT seats any more supportive? Wifey’s complaint is always that her butt always slides about on the premium seats?
Definitely have better side bolsters, so if she's sliding around because of lateral acceleration she will be more pleased. I feel like they're more comfortable for my fuzzy butt than the non-GT seats. ??

My 2024's seats are the same as were in my 2021 with the exception of the headrest creak that my 2021 had before I got replacement plastics. ??

As with a lot of others, I have not found either of my GTs' seats to feel like the seat heaters are always on (they are always on for me, set on automatic). ?ā€ā™‚?

I have found my 22 GT seats very comfortable. The local dealer was no longer selling EV’s so I have been unable to check out the feel of the new GT seats. Just found out this past weekend Ford is now requiring them to stock 12 EV’s a year and they have 5 Mach’s on order. Hopefully I can check out the seats prior to my Options contract expiring next April.

I'm happy to help. Can you explain exactly what you need? Do you need pictures of the area where the seats are bolted to the floor?

Personally, I like the Ford Performance seats found in the '21-'23 GT-PE and the '24 GT. Then again, everyone's body's different. Mine more different than most since I'm canine. ??

So not exactly the same. ?

Since this thread is a question about swapping out seats, those details would matter as well as to whether or not the power seats would work if you swapped out an older 8 way vs the new 10 way.

On a related note- what are the 2 extra ways on the new GT seats?
