On a related note- what are the 2 extra ways on the new GT seats?
The front section of the lower seat cushion tilts up and down.

Hi,

I got my first EV a 2025 Mach-E Premium over the weekend and I'm lovin' it !!

Has anyone swapped out their front two seats for the GT seats, if so is it an easy install?

I would love to have those seats in my Mach-E.

Thanks in advance.
If you wanted GT seats. Should have bought a GT

So not exactly the same. ?

Since this thread is a question about swapping out seats, those details would matter as well as to whether or not the power seats would work if you swapped out an older 8 way vs the new 10 way.

Unless you're also swapping the guts of the seat (why would you?), the additional adjustment directions should not matter as the motors are built into the seat itself. At least, that's my understanding. The wiring harness for the seat should be the same.

I would actually be shocked if the wiring harness is the same.

The memory seats function has to give instructions to the extra tilt adjustment in the 10 way seats.

And the cooled seats in the OPs premium would likely be completely separate wires from a GT seat as it’s controlled externally from the seat.

If it was just power wires and ground wires and everything was controlled on the seat itself, I would expect wiring to be universal. But because of all the external controls, I would expect some extra wiring.

Hopefully someone who’s messed with the wiring or wiring diagrams could chime in.

I've often wondered how this functionality works. When moving the memory seats in my 2023 GT (non-PE), the seat doesn't move to a "home" position first - it seems to just know where it is relative to where it's going, even when the battery has been disconnected.

Oh, and not all the positions are restored. At least in mine, the memory seat doesn't retain/restore lumbar adjustments. (Everything else seems to be retained/restored.)

That's much easier than what I thought. Here you go.
Let me know if you need another angle.

Very many thanks. They look largely the same as my Premium seats in terms of the bolster cushions each side.

There are positional sensors for seat pan front, seat pan rear, seat linear position, and sear back pitch. No sensor for lumbar position. ??

In that photo, looks are deceiving. The bolsters on the GT (GTPE) seats are much higher/deeper than on any other seats in a Mach-E. Also, the seats are much more firm. They are not cushy at all. They have a very similar feel to the Recaro seats that were in my Focus RS and the ones in the GT 500. Not that it means much but they also are labeled with a "Ford Performance" badge. The main two reasons I had a '21 GTPE and currently have a '24 GTP are the seats and Magneride suspension.

Yep, the seat pan on the non-Ford Performance seats are nearly flat in comparison. The seat backs on the Ford Performance seats have much larger wing bolsters in comparison. The down sides (for some people) are the wing bolsters and the fixed headrest. My fuzzy body fits the bolsters just fine (although I would like some adjustment there to squeeze it in a little). I find the headrest just fine under most circumstances. It's too far forward if wearing a helmet. ??

Thnx, any chance of a picture of the seat base, pls?

On top is the seats for all GTs 2024 and newer seats. These are also the seats for the GT performance edition '21-'23

You can see the leather wraps around the full outer perimeter of the seat and front bottom where the back of your knees might hit if you're wearing shorts

The lower picture is the GT seats from 21 to 23 non performance edition -the suede or alcantara goes all the way to the edge where the back of your knees would touch

Bottom picture also doesn't have the shoulder wrap around as well as the stronger bolstering mentioned by others

These pics are taken from dealer sites AutoTrader, you should be able to get any angle of the seat you need

I really like my 2023 GT (non-PE) seats. They're comfortable and supportive. The faux suede material feels good, seems to breathe fine and doesn't burn skin when the sun has been beating on it for hours.

No problems with long trips.
