Had to stop by a Tesla dealer today

Visited Peabody Mass for some school shopping. Happened to be the closest Tesla dealer to me (6 hours away). So I had to have a look and park across the street. Never been a Tesla fan and I am even less today. My goodness, why would anyone accept the paint and fit/finish on these things for a mid $50k premium vehicle. My 15 year old daughter could not stop giggling about the difference between the Mach E and the Tesla. She loved the rear leg room too. I tooted and waved when I Left. No one waved back……. Also, 600 miles of driving from Bar Harbor to Peabody and back and not one Mach E. So many people slowed down to the highway to look and point. I even had an Electric Kona try to drag me…..lol.

Those fish-eyes were right on the passenger door and rear quarter at eye level. All in plain site in the showroom. I did not expect to see paint issues like that.

That was with the front seat all the way back to exaggerate it. The Model 3's rear seat isn't the most spacious, but its not THAT bad.

Here's the Model Y rear leg room. The Tesla Model 3 is basically the size of a new Honda Civic.

Teslas were the first "cool" EV to enter the market and their name recognition has allowed them to maintain a strong share of the market. But newer EVs (especially the Mach-E, but also the other brands like Hyundai and VW) are much better in many ways.

I work in the collision industry. A friend of mine paints at a shop that did work for Tesla before they opened their own shop. Fixing factory paint work and aligning body panels were the norm, especially on the 3's.

You are 100% right about the paint and quality issues. That should not happen and there is no excuse for it, especially since people have been complaining since 2012 about it

Not sure what the point of the picture was with the seat all the way back. I have a mustang Mach-e and a model y and the model y has a much more spacious interior.
