Curious what charger you were using on the car? Looks like all of your errors happened after disconnecting from charge or during regenerative braking.

Thanks for looking into it. I was using the mobile charger Ford supplies the mach e with. I was plugged into a 120 V outlet.

Wasn't the cooling system where Ford value-engineered out a bunch of components last year to save costs?

Edit - this is what I remember. Not sure it has any bearing on these failures.

Yeah I believe they went to one component (forget which one specifically) instead of two for that system, they said it was overly complicated in first builds

Quick update. The dealership called me earlier today stating that they were taking the car for a test drive and that it might be good for pick up today! Then a few hours later they let me know that they had more issues as they were driving the car and it needs more diagnosing... no estimates as to when I can get the car back. Really regretting getting the MME at this point and it’s a bummer that trying to get another EV out there is going to take another eternity.

@Ford Motor Company PLEASE! Getting in touch with the customer service has been a nightmare. Also, for some reason all of the folks I got on the phone with had really bad audio quality making it almost impossible to understand what they were saying.
I would DM Ford directly on this site. They've been very helpful getting my cases open and someone assigned from the BEV team.

Thanks for that. I’ve been able to get someone from the BEV team and I’ve been getting help.

I also had the same audio problem yesterday when I was talking to the Ford phone reps. Sad.

I’m actually feeling lucky(?) that I have an ā€œover-engineeredā€ 2021 still with the self parking, kick lift gate, and acoustic glass in exchange for knowing that some day the HVBJB is gonna get me. We’ve seen what decontenting and cost reductions have done to Tesla; I hope we can avoid a little of that fate.

Got an update from the dealer today telling me that they think its the interlock on the main battery that’s the issue and they’re expecting the car to be out for 3 weeks. Anyone care to explain to me what it means for the interlock to be broken? Thanks!

Go back and read #6 again, but the interlock is a circuit in the high voltage connectors that monitors if they are fully latched. If someone were to try to disconnect the motor connector while energized, the interlock will be broken, the BECM will see that and shut off the voltage before the connector can be removed. This is for safety. Again, this is the cause of your stop safely now error, I think it's a separate problem from the battery cooling performance error they also need to address.

They de-energized your battery before going home. I assume that tomorrow they will drop the battery and pull it apart to check for wiring issues. The code that's continuously being thrown is normally due to faulty/damaged wiring/harnesses.

Received a call from the dealer yesterday that my MME is ready for pick up. Going to pick it up today since I wasn't able to return the rental Chevy Spark they gave me. When I checked the Ford Pass app, I noticed that, for some reason, the app was telling me that the car was plugged in since last Friday rather than yesterday. Do you think I should get in touch with the dealer to get it checked out or will it clear it self after a while?

Got my car back from the dealership last Wednesday and have been driving it around no issues for a week now. Just this morning, I started to have the same issue while trying to get some speed going from around 10-50 mph. Reached out to my representative from Ford’s BEV team directly and planning to reach out to the dealership once they open up again. Can anyone try to see what is popping up on FDRS as the issue please? 3FMTK3R7XNMA28963 is the VIN. Thanks a lot!

This is the second chiller failure on a new car I've seen, you have the same P2D40 Cooling system performance code this guy had: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/screwed-by-ford.21029/

You both have similar build dates in the late June–early July timeframe.

You also have a P0A0C code for the rear high voltage connector interlock circuit. It's possible the rear motor connector isn't fully closed, or there's a more advanced problem with the rear connector or inside the pack with the BECM. This is the cause of the Stop Safely Now error.

Just a guess but your problems may require the assistance of a field service engineer to solve. If you talk to someone on the BEV team you should ask if one can be assigned to work with your dealer.
This is what I don’t get. Between the dealerships, the BEV team, the support people and everyone at Ford, why can’t any of them do this?? Why can’t the person you call run your VIN, see the issue and then escalate where needed? Why does the the customer have to sit around for 6 hours only to be told ā€œsorry can’t help youā€. This is absurd for a car at this price range.

You still have the P0A0C code happening I described previously for the interlock circuit. Did they replace the pack connector or not?
