Demand for the Y is off the charts. If you follow Discord channels that track inventory, they are sold within minutes (like PS5s) even though folks could wait a month for this possibly imaginary tax credit.Tax credit on the Y seems useless. They raised the price $9,000 in preparation for the credit. So if it doesn’t pass, they’ll probably just lower the price like they did when the credit ran out.
Tesla has figured out how to play the government game for sure.
And auction numbers on used Model Ys are $4K higher than brand new ones ($63K). It's no different than Mach-Es IMO which are being sold used $5K over MSRP (insane) on sites like Carvana and CarMax.
