So I upgraded my order from Select to Premium. I think the glass roof looks really nice, but I'm wondering what others' experiences are with it.

Does it make it too bright in your car in summer? It says it keeps it cooler in summer, and I'm wondering how that works.

Does it get dirty? Is it annoying to have to clean?

Do you regret getting it, or do you really love it?

I upgraded my Select order to a Premium as well. The glass roof was something I was 50/50 about. I really wanted the grey interior from the Premium, and had already selected the technology package.

I think the glass roof is nice. It doesn't seem to make the interior too hot. I'm sure the opaque metal roof is even better for that, but it is cool to have some light in the back seat. My son really likes watching the rain hit the roof while we drive down the road.

I honestly don't even notice it's there most of the time. I'm fine with it since I didn't have a choice, but if I could have chosen to save a little money by not getting it, I would have.

My only complaint is that the roof is very susceptible to damage. I've had the car 8 months and I've had to replace it twice. First time was a warranty claim; second time was because of a stone.

It's both a luxury and a liability. I do appreciate the additional headroom it provides in the second row and the way it opens up the cabin, but it is susceptible to damage. Working with insurance to find a glass shop and waiting for a replacement panel is not an experience I would wish on others.

As for your more practical questions, the panel does a decent job not radiating heat into the cabin even in ludicrously toasty conditions. It will be hot to the touch, but resist the urge to test that out because fingerprints account for most if not all of the cleaning I've needed to do so far.

Maybe we were just lucky but we had a Pano Glass Roof in our Cmax and no issues over 7 years with the car. Made it thru the Florida Summer ok. Personally I don’t think a Roof Sunshade is necessary.

Love the roof. Seems to open up the car. I ran out of time drying the car after I washed it once and it looked really bad from the inside, so watch for that. I didn't feel heat in the summer, nor did my spouse who complains about heat from sunroofs in other cars.

I purchased my SR AWD off the car lot, but if a pano model had been available, I would have purchased that instead.

I like the glass roof. It is extremely hot to the touch on a 90 deg day, but you don't feel any heat radiating from it. No trouble cooling the car. I don't like the idea of having someone try to reseal the roof and windshield. Still not sure about doing that. I do get a little wind noise, probably because of the gap between the windshield and the roof

I haven’t had my car in warm weather so I can’t speak to heat but brightness isn’t an issue at all for me and I’m pretty light sensitive with my eyes. I love the look it gives in the interior but if I’m honest, from the front seats you barely notice it’s there because of the seating position being too far forward. Your perception of it just isn’t there when you’re driving. It’s a nice feature for people in the back seat

I was worried about it before I got the car for several reasons, all of which turned out to be a non-issue. It has IR and UV coatings so doesn't make the car hot at all, and the way it's positioned unless you drive with the seat all the way back the sun doesn't get in your eyes while driving. Since bright sun is one of the triggers for my migraines I was worried, but after 10 months it hasn't been a problem at all. It does nicely brighten up the cabin with ambient light, and so far I've had no issue with damage from rocks or anything else. Passengers seem to really enjoy it.

I have commented on this before. It's kind of surprising how hot the pano gets when you place your hand on it, but like you said, somehow that heat does not radiate into the car.

I purchased my MME in March and have owned it all the way through a hot and humid Southern summer, and I have to park in an open lot at work. If anything, I feel like it has been less hot to get into then other cars that I have owned, and definitely quicker to cool down. That may be due to AC efficiency, and not the roof, I'm really not sure, but I have grown to like the pano roof quite a bit. As someone else pointed out, it really gives off a VERY roomy feel, especially when you are sitting in the back. My daughter loves to drive my car, so I frequently get relegated to the back with the grandkids, LOL. Actually, I enjoy getting "chauffeured" around.

No regrets. Really love it.

I believe it makes the car feel more spacious and luxurious inside. No issues at all with solar temperature. It does feel cooler inside compared to a metal roof. Back seat passengers love the roof for sure. Never gets old for them

I live in the Phoenix area. If that roof works fine out here then it will be fine anywhere else in the country.

Get the glass, you will love it.
