So, fun fact. I had a BMW some years ago, and in the same city that this Taycan was brutally gored in, they stole essentially the entire interior while I was at work. Not even over night, it was a bright summer day. And the car was parked on a popular street, too. Came back from work, wanted to grab the steering wheel as I got in and only caught air.

Steering wheel, nav computer and display, tachometer, shifter etc., all gone. 13k repair in total. Police didn't give a single shit. Tow driver mentioned mine was the fifth BMW break-in case he personally towed in just that day. It's a city of 700k people. Insane.

That's crazy. I was drunk as a skunk (alone)Octoberfest '16. Not sure how I got home, but I did, via a couple too many trains I think. Never would I have thought about that much crime there. I just didn't see it. But in Berlin I wasn't a fan of a specific area I wondered into.

Please! In the old days people stole horses - of course they were hung for it. There always have and always will be bad people in this world. It is just so much easier to hear about it. Stay off social media and enjoy the next 40 years!

Yeah. But they didn't do it again after that.
I could go way down the political rant of what we're doing now but it all really boils down to the fact the punishment is so little theres nearly no risk in tuna canning open a $100K+ car to make some drug money. Worst case they get a house and meals for months, for free. We nearly have a reward system for not being the shittiest of criminals.
My comment about society degrading wasn't even about the criminals but the countless heartless people that chime in on threads like that just for the upvotes, at someone elses expense.
Those people might one day grow up to be the DR that tells you "Hahah you have cancer! Don't forget to leave a 5 star review"
