Hold hands walk towards the car, lean her- or him not trying to go there on the side of the car preferably you have PPE spell check PPF I mean lol. And PPE to if you so incline.

And start making out if your shorter than her the better.

This all done better if course at night, drive in, etc.

Besides the alarm going off if you don't see the puddle lights plenty of advice here to diagnose this.

This. A missed marketing opportunity on Ford's part if you ask me.
I agree. And also a missed safety feature to promote. I wish I could control when they come on, how long they stay on, and also that they could be activated on vehicle exit. But no. They remain in the realm of gimmick, not a feature.

Stand about 40 feet away from the car.
Close your eyes, click your heels together 3 times, and say "There's no pony like my pony, there's no pony like my pony, there's no pony like my pony".
Now, walk towards the car and the pony should appear.

I have not found any required factors explanation. My conclusion is that the cameras register the ambient light. If sufficiently dark then the pony is illuminated. You could show off inside a garage that is dark.

First of all, the mirrors have to be folded and the car locked. I have also found that my phone will impact this because it can connect to the car further from my MME. Thus it doesn't seem to trigger the pony in my garage but still will if I'm further away such as a parking lot.. So, it seems to be more reliable with the key fob than it does the PAAK when the car is in the garage.

This is part of my complaint about smart cell phones also. Every feature that is exposed/presented to the user, the user should be able to modify. But, I'm reasonable because not every user wants to modify every feature. Modifying the duration and lighting conditions of the lighted pony is quite reasonable.

It is not just about lighting the pony..my question is about lighting it up on demand..ie once it does off, how do I light it up again?

He was just disproving the other person's incorrect hypothesis.

As others have already stated, the ponies light up when a key (or paak) approaches the vehicle while the vehicle is locked, mirrors are folded in, and the vehicle is awake enough to detect the approaching key. They stay lit for 20 seconds or so each time.
