I drive exclusively in whisper and 1 pedal mode and it always lists battery SOC as percentage at the bottom left, regardless of driver aids, etc. I find whisper makes it easier to drive smooth (more linear response) and 1 pedal still gives full regen on lift-off. BTW whisper still gives you full power at wide open pedal, you just have to push the pedal a little further compared to engage and unbridled if you want 50%, 75% power, etc.

Huh. Maybe she was referring to the adaptive cruise control.
This is a two-part problem that the manufacturers of THINGS have.

First problem is that they try to get clever and create unique, trademarked names like BlueCruise for something like handsfree driving. Then, someone, probably very senior, dictates that the term "BlueCruise" should be expanded to include non-handsfree driving. Real stupid IMO.

Second problem is that most people (across the world) suffer from a combination of factors - they are ill-informed, they obtain their "knowledge" from bad sources, and ultimately, they aren't very bright.

Note - I am NOT stating that the friends of @kindofblue aren't bright, merely that they don't understand what BlueCruise is, perhaps because they are ill-informed, or because Ford blew it when extending the term to non-handsfree driving.

I prefer the view with the distance indicator showing. For two reasons,
First is so when others drive the car it will let them know if they are following too close.
Second is that I prefer to see the state of charge as a numerical value vs a gauge. That is because I know I can get 3 miles per percent (or 30 miles per 10% etc). Seems to work better for me.

Here are the two different views in Engage.

I cannot get the first images to come up on my display. For some reason, I have only been able to drive with the bottom version as I cannot switch off the collision assist indicator.

For that one, you have to dive into the Sync menu. Settings, Driver Aids, Pre-Collision Assist. Then turn off Distance Indication. It doesn't disable PC... just removes the indicator.

That button is not present for me. I have already emailed Ford help and they gave me some nonsense that when I use the key profile then it removes that option from my menu. This has been so since day 1 (I have had the car for over a year).

really?
it's not hard..... ODB2 reader cost $25 and just plugs in the port by your left knee
phone holder of your choice....
free phone App.... like carScanner lets you pick what sensor data you want to see, and how you want to see it (dials, bars, numbers)
Is it true that if you keep that ODB2 scanner plugged in, it might not act properly? I could have sworn I saw this come up when I was thinking of getting one for my old car.

I leave mine plugged in almost all the time. I don't usually 'connect' to display data for short drives, but the ODB2 is usually plugged in.... no problems.
