?. Perhaps this design came from the same studio that designed weightless rods and frictionless bearings….
or, a designer that was never a mechanic

Don’t wanna cut them too short because I walk a lot and I don’t wanna get no irritation on the tips lol
It was just a joke anyway. Your toes look highly manacured to me. ?

I know you were joking lol, it was just a comeback. One thing I hate because of being a chef and cook all my life, long fingernails and long toenails and long hair although I would like to have a man bun one day, but I can’t do it. I don’t like to grow my hair out. ?

Perfect, just replaced the tires and don't have any better reason to sweat my ass off in the garage, guess I'll start looking for a deal on the battery as my car is at 39 months as well. Thanks for the reminder that this will get me someday.

If you're good at pulling the tub, you can do it in <20 minutes. I spend more time chasing clips that fell into the car. ??
I got one rolling around in there somewhere. I'm sure it's laughing at me the whole time.

I think if you are just placing the battery, it can probably be done without removing the tub.... just the rear 'beauty cover' and cross-brace. There is only one 'foot clamp', and you can reach the two 10mm bolts with a 10" or 12" extension. once the clamp is removed, the battery can be slid back enough to loosen terminal clamp bolts, and wiggle the battery out.

I pull the tub because I wanted to look under there anyway.

I just this weekend replaced mine. Took about 45 minutes and I too "Thought" I could remove and replace without removing the tub. Unfortunately, at least IMHO... The tub had to be removed. All in all 45 minutes from start to finish and uneventful. Will say, I saw where people had someone come to house and replace for $260 bucks... The battery I purchased was from EV Online and was $220 in itself. So, if you can get it done for $265 (WELL WORTH IT)

I've got to pull the Steeda Strut brace, 3 bolts each side. I was thinking the foot should slide out enough to clear the tub. I'll update this when I get my hands on a battery. I'm due for service too. Gotta have some guy glance at the car and ask for $75+ lol. Might get a quote on just having them do it. In the last 3 months I've kinda realized I should pay someone else to do these things. It would keep me from doing much as I hate paying someone to do something I can do. I would have never thought about the BCS 6 hour calibration, or even to read the manual to replace the battery lol. (I even have the manual)

Ya This.
Too bad I'm still 30,000 Ford Points short from my HVJB gift. I got a charging mat I'd trade for 30,000 points. Just saying.

I used my original 22k Points to put toward the battery I bought at the dealership service counter... covered about half the $211 cost.

Can you see the battery manuf date without pulling it out of the car? I can get one at Larry H Miller for $156 and tax, I'll pull the trigger the moment I know mine isn't 1.5 years old due to being replaced.

You can see the days in service in the OBD2 reader, assuming that they reset it to zero when the battery was changed

That's odd. PID stats 483 days, but I've owned the car for 523 and neither I or the dealer replaced the battery, that I was told. However 482 days ago it was at the dealer and wen't through another master reset. So I looks like I'm going to not trust it and just buy a new one. I wouldn't think the master reset would change days in service so possibly some other thing the dealer did caused it to reset.

I'm 100% with you. Worth a mobile service visit. One thing which I consider is what is the probability of breaking something else? Maybe it's low, but if a Ford dealer tech breaks or damages something, then it's their problem, not mine.
