I like the ID.4 shifter much better than the Mustang's - better location, and very intuitive: push forward to go forward, pull back to reverse, etc. Some other controls I never figured out, but you're no doubt right, you'd get used to it soon enough.I found the weird gear shifter in the id4 to be awkward, but I'm sure it's easy enough to get used to. And the control screen had some of the quirks from my Tiguan... But those are also easy enough to get used to. It's a really good starter EV, so is the Nissan Leaf which doesn't get enough credit these days, despite it's longevity in the market.
