Huge VW ID4 ad push. Where is Ford??

I had the feeling that I couldn’t ESCAPE the Mach-E ads for about a month! They were sponsoring NPR and NPR podcasts, Amazon boxes were arriving in brightly printed Mach-E boxes, and TV ads were playing. Oddly, I don’t recall ever seeing a web ad. But people do see to be aware, I get a lot of “that’s the bee Mustang, right?” So it must be working at least a little!

I've never seen any form of advertising for it. I need to watch more TV.

I was parked next to a guy who was charging his VW ID 4 yesterday. He did a test drive on a MME and liked it but did not want to wait 6 months to get one!

I think this is Ford's biggest issue. For the premium and california rt 1 models it can takes months to get. These are the ones people want. They either want the AWD one that can go 0-60 in 4.8 seconds, or the cruiser that can go over 350 miles per charge. Can you blame them?
I showed musician friend today (who bought my old car) the interior and sound system. I explained the acoustic windows. He was impressed.
This is an aspirational vehicle. You mention "the electric mustang" and people are impressed. It may not appeal to the same people as the Porsch Taycan or a Tesla, but many people love it. In person the vehicle impresses.

Our family doctor has a Tesla MS and MY and he was very impressed when he checked out our MME in person! For us comparing the MME to the Tesla MY was an easy choice to make!!

My husband owns a Tesla Model 3, and I test drove the Model Y and VW ID4. I liked the MME much more than either of those. The only thing that would have soured me is if the dealer was slimy, they weren't though. It fit me better. It had a better interior, and it drove better, and was less alien. To me it is the only vehicle without a Porsche badge that is better than what Tesla is making right now in terms of electric vehicles. Oh, unlike the Porsche, it was in my EV budget (which was pretty large, but not $100k+ large). Mind you that may change when Hyundia/Kia come out with their new models, or BMW and Mercedes. But for the time being this stands. Even he admits, in many ways my MME is better than his Tesla Model 3 or Model Y, and he is a Tesla fanboy. It's hard for somebody to say "why didn't you get a Tesla?". The MME is a better car. That's it. It sparks joy.

My daughter who isn't really into cars saw an ad for the MME and for the first time felt that "feeling" in her gut that made her want it bad. I also saw an ad during the MLB All-Star game, and I tend to avoid ads whenever possible. Just two anecdotes anyway, but there they are
