I have a 21J2 RWD Extended Range MME and am due to have my HVBJB replaced but so far all I have gotten from Ford, other than a notice in November last year, is complete radio silence. A dealer I spoke with claims that the new part is not available. Really? What gives @Ford? Has anyone with the same type of car as mine been able to get the repair done? TIA to anyone able to shed light on the mystery of the unavailable part 6 months into the recall campaign.

Many of us with the notice continue to wait. Some are waiting for others to post positive experiences in their area first to help direct where we should have it done at. No listing of Model E dealers either.

The parts only started becoming available in December. Ford did not do the best of jobs rolling out this recall but my understanding at this point is they are prioritizing the models that had the highest failure rate. So GT’s are up first. There was no real prioritization at first and many were able to get right in and get their part ordered after the letter came out in December. One of the threads has some better information on the process but it certainly has not been smooth for many. Luckily I went to my dearly immediately in December after I received a notification in FP that parts were available and they ordered the part. It came in within 5 days but I did not get the work done until March.

I had it done in February, no issues, took two days. They gave me a new MME GT as a loaner. Be sure they have the parts before you drop off your car. Some dealers are better than others. Mine is great. Call around.

I have a Job 1 2021. I had it done no issues however they came picked up my car and had to record the information off it to order the part. They brought my car back same day and said they ordered the needed part to do the recall. It came in maybe 3 weeks later and they came and picked up the car left me a loaner and it took them from a Tuesday to Friday to complete the job. One day the technician was not available to work on it.

My dealer ordered the parts as soon as I contacted them. They received the HVBJB but still waiting on the bolts. Supposed to be here next week so I'll update if mine goes in for recall work.

Sad. Bolts not included with the rest of the items. Makes me want to wait even longer.

I've been waiting since December. No word on parts from my local dealership, no indication of time frame. The problem with this for me is that I don't feel comfortable using the car for road trips until this recall has been performed, which gives all of my anti EV friends and relatives ammunition to make fun of my choice to go electric.

I just did a 1,000 mi road trip and had to use my other car as a result of this. Come on Ford, you can do better than this. At the very least my dealership should have some idea of what the lead time is for parts.

In January, we were headed out of town for over a week (flying and on a cruise ship). Called our Ford dealer to drop off our 2021 job 2 Premium RWD extended range Mach-E for its 20k mile service. Asked if they had the parts in, and there wasn't some waiting list, if they would do the HVBJB recall work.

Got back, and the recall was done! Amazing!

However, no good deed goes unpunished, or at least slightly sideways: FordPass kept telling me it wasn't done yet. Called the dealer, they called Ford, who said that the reporting system was, er, quietly failing to update service records. They re-submitted my info and boom, it was all good.

Some day, it'll all just work. Maybe.

When we have cars from other brands. Not Ford…

I’m in the same saga of getting the HVBJB replaced. It seems they have the components to chance but there is another one that they have to change also, a bus bar or something and for that I’m at position 156 waiting for the part to be available.

I really can’t get it, demand is not high enough, cars are piling up at dealerships and the minimum they could do is to provide proper service and attention to their customer base and get this recall done right and quickly.

But, as they can’t even get updates out of the gate for many of us, it’s no surprise they are dropping the ball on that as well.

That’s why I placed my pre-order for a Rivian R2 and can’t wait to get it and get rid of Ford…

My MME went to the Dealer on January 19th for this recall. They ordered the part...... the part failed in February. MME has been down for 5 weeks. Still waiting for the part.

Wait, are you saying that your recall HVBJB part failed? If so, that is the first I have heard of that happening. Your AWD Premium should have received HVBJB Part # NK4Z-10C666-E; was that the part # they installed and then failed one month later? Can you give us the details of the failure: Speed, duration of trip, any fast charging, did you get the Stop Safely Now warning message, did your car brick and need a tow, etc?
