My 2024 had screwed up its departure times on several occasions. It seems like it wants to set cabin and battery preconditioning to other time zones (the cabin temperature has been ready 3 hours ahead of time a few times, 2 hours late a few times). ??

Reminds me that I need to fix it by deleting and re-adding my departure times in the car. Super-lame. ?ā€ā™‚?

It’s disturbing that you want to precondition but we really have no clue if it’s truly preconditioned or just warmed the cabin.

Same as setting your Nav to a specific public character. They say it precondition from I believe 20miles. But does it really? Where would this be displayed. It doesn’t

Are we talking preconditioning before setting off on journey or before charging en route, I’m talking before setting off.

The pre-conditioning not working have been going on since December.
When the pre conditioning isn't working the car is like a block of ice at this time of year.

Also, a new thing; Several times last week including this morning it says on the "front"page in the app that it is conditioning for the departure. Except the conditioning have been turned off. I checked my charger app and it has drawn power.

I have tried deleting the schedule, set charge time for "anytime", made sure the time is set the same in the car as on the app, etc.

So now it seems it won't condition the car for departure when it says in the settings to do so and it is doing so when it isn't set. ?ā€ā™€

This may or may not be related but my mach e seems to have lost connection with the Ford servers since Saturday night. It still shows the car located where we were then, and none of the Ford Pass controls are functioning. It has always done this occasionally but this is the longest it's stayed disconnected in quite a while. I'm hoping it decides to reconnect this week.

I don’t trust the car or the app to schedule charging, I use the ABB charge point app, far more dependable.
Does the ABB Charge Point app allow you to precondition the car as well?

Mine is not working this morning. Tried to set it for 1pm on the FP app and it keeps reverting to the time I set the previous day (which worked). This is the first time I've had this much trouble in 8 months of ownership. Also tried to change in the Mach E itself, still doesn't work. Should be a simple thing that should work simply.

That’s normal standby battery heating when plugged in. The battery will be maintained above 0°C while plugged in even with no scheduled departure times.

Do a 12V reset, and make sure you are parked in a cellular coverage area so the car can talk to the cloud about the departure time settings.

Nope! I take pot luck with that on the App.

To be fair, if I give it more than a couple of hours’ notice pre-conditioning usually works.

I’ve had my 2023 GT since last February and today was the first time departure time didnt work. Have it set to 720AM every day and usually works like a charm. Today checked the app at 7 but it wasn’t showing that it was preparing for departure, despite it being 15F outside. Didn’t get a charge fault error anything. Waited 5 minutes but lost patience, so just initiated the remote climate start while plugged in. Checked my Tesla charger app for energy history overnight and noticed it didn’t draw any power from the charger as it usually does when below freezing occasionally when plugged in.
Should I delete the departure times and redo them in the app?

Newember here, just picked up a 23 GTPE on Monday and not having luck with departure either. App screenshot attached. I have not been plugged in to charge, but it has yet to prep at all this week since settling up Monday evening.

As far as I can tell I have app set right, or am I missing something? Where in car do I look to verify?

After the preconditioning didn't work for some unknown reason, I unchecked the "prepare cabin off plug" option. Since then, it's preconditioned properly each time. Maybe try that and see if it works? Obviously when plugged in.
