Yup. Have that. Just one other question. It says that if you power from the one port, it can stay active when the car is off. Is that a drain on the 12v battery? I unplug my obd2 sensor when I’m not actively using it.
Yes, it would pull from the 12v battery, which is pretty tiny and weak in the MachE. I didn't install the ODB adapter in my MachE for that reason.

I hate browsing the forums, it always makes me spend money. Just bought one for the Mach-E, thanks for the info, I'm looking forward to getting it and hope it's as seamless as described.

If I am not very tech savvy, will I be able to work this thing. I feel confident I can install it, but I don’t understand half of what you more technologically advanced people are even saying on this thread! ?. Like I’m not brainless, I can work a Mac and an iPhone pretty well, but I don’t know that I will be able to figure this out!

Just like a Mac or iPhone it can be simple, or you can dig into details and customizations to your exact driving preference. All that is required is:

install
enter bit.ly/bp-stable for install
choose MachE as your vehicle in the menu.

So, I've got 1 week with the comma3x and the thing works better than bluecruise. However, mounting it in the center of the windshield near the top now makes it so the auto dimming work doesn't work because of the IR on the comma. I tried to mount the comma lower on the windshield but I don't like it because it's blocking my view out the windshield. Can the comma be mounted off center and still function ok?

You’re the first person to see an issue with the auto dimming mirror, I’ve never seen that. But no it cannot be mounted off center, it will constantly steer you to the oncoming lane because it will think you passenger seat is in the middle of the car.

perhaps a small shield could be fashioned out of plastic or 3d printed.

It was definitely the comma causing the issue, as soon as I unplugged it the mirror started dimming again. I also drive in very pitch black areas where there is 0 lighting on the roads so I don't know if that plays into it at all.

I will have to try to rig something up with my printer, thanks.

Maybe it was the screen brightness and not the IR camera. You could turn down the screen brightness in the menu.

Unfortunately it's not just the screen brightness, I have it set to turn off after 15 seconds. The auto dimming mirror would only work when I turned off the comma completely.

yuck. I would just tape a piece of cardboard to the bottom of the mirror so it make a ”visor” and see if it helps. If it does then move on to a nice looking 3d printed visor.

Can you post a picture of your set up? I’m curious to see how you have it installed.
I have mined installed little bit behind the rear view mirror and it’s been working great since July of last year.

I don't have it currently set up behind the mirror. I spent most of my day today making a bracket for it to sit as low as possible on the windshield and then testing it out. I don't like it low because it blocks my view out the windshield.

When I did have it up higher it was about 1/3 blocked by the rear view mirror when I was viewing it from the drivers seat. The auto dimming mirror did not dim at all when it was up that high. I was constantly being blinding by semi's and big trucks.
