This is really frustrating me to the point of wanting to either throw it out the window or return. What am I doing wrong? I can’t get it to engage! I press cruise/set and the screen doesn’t change

When you turn the car on, it stays on that screen?

That means the wiring somewhere has an issue. When you turn the car on it should start the camera and show the video on the screen.

Do you have any alerts on your dash? If so the harness is not connected properly.
No alerts but still no camera when starting the car? Usually a bad USB-C cable. I hope you are testing before you put all the panels back on.

I’m an idiot and didn’t test before I closed everything up. I grabbed the second USB cable that came in the package and that one worked.

That error never goes away?

Click on the screen so the menu will come up, use the settings button in top left. On the first page of the menu is a "view error" button.

Usually that message clears after 10-15 seconds.

Went on a 5 min drive and never went away. I had an appointment and had to stop messing with it. Will try in about an hour or two

Negative, I know you said you don't run your OBDII cable. Would this cause the data (MPH etc) or controls to not be available as the cable is not long enough to reach to the trunk?

no. were you able to see an error in the menu?

No error message, but that screen still won't go away. I do notice it never acquires GPS - Keeps showing waiting for GPS even after about 10 mins. Rebooted a couples times and took a drive still nothing.
