So @David Johnson was able to resolve his issues. He was plugged into the grey port intstead of the black, and that seemed to short his harness box. He got a new harness box installed into the black port and issues resolved. @bbrett can you confirm if you were ever plugged into the grey port? I know comma swapped your device, but did you swap the harness box?

I'll have to verify, I've been slammed with work. My plan was to look at it tomorrow or Saturday.

When I use longitudinal control it is so so slow!! I was hoping to be able to use it though as I feel the ford software waits way too long to slow down in traffic. Is there a way to make longitudinal control go the set speed?

If you have experimental mode on, it always drives super slow. There is a toggle for "dyanmic experimental control" which helps a bunch, make sure that is on if you are using experimental.

With regards to waiting too long to slow down, read my write up here:

Someone hooked up to a 2025 MachE today. 16-byte Canbus Messages mean TRON encryption.

The 2025 Mach E does have CAN Message Authentication, openpilot and forks will not work on any 25 Mach Es or newer unless someone manages to find a way to extract the keys. That's probably going to be unlikely as Ford is probably requiring suppliers have the keys stored in the ECU's HSM.

We have suspected this for a while now, but this was the first time we actually got to log the canbus messages and verify it.

I could have confirmed that if I had been actively looking at the thread lol. I have second-hand knowledge as I know someone who's been working in the group at Ford that developed the CAN bus security.

Will this be retroactively applied through future software updates to vehicles already in the field?

If not, what MY, or production date did this start?

No, it will not be retroactive. It affects any Model Year 2025 or newer.
