I have this 3.6.2 queued up to install tonight, its funny the car parked earlier at 96% and shows 176miles of range, then I got the notice about the Intelligent range being turned off, and the update in que and my car is now showing 96% and 125miles of range. Will be interesting to see what it says in the morning after the update. Its currently 50 outside and raining and not supposed to get any cooler tonight.

Yeah my range went down by about 10% since they turned it off today. Car hasn't moved or changed temp.

Mine is way higher. Usually 180 at 90%. Today, before intelligent range was turned off, I was showing 130 at 83%. Now I’m at 86% and showing 214 miles. First time over 200 without being at 100% lol. I wonder if this reset driving history, I haven’t checked.

Mine was at 230 at 90% today. Normally I'm between 160 and 180 at 90% when it's cold like this.

My GOM hadn’t seen 230 since the day after I picked it up 19 months ago. ;)

Mine randomly had 270 one day when I started it. A few weeks ago. I definitely will never see that for real.

This is interesting, does the "Server side" mean that the processing is done on their servers and requires a constant data connection?
I would think it is better to have this handled using the onboard computer.
Server side features usually have client side (car computer) backups/redundancies that activate is the connection to the server is lost.

Think of it this way.
They have a new feature enhancement that requires more processing power and algorithms that are constantly updated and adjusted. It makes more sense to maintain those algorithms on the server, where the processing is done, rather than to have to push out algorithm updates every week/month, etc.

That said, when there is no connection to those services, the car will revert to the range estimates that we have used to this point, which are handled on the client/car side. This is also affectionately known as the GOM, or Guess ‘O’ Meter.

Same as others range was huge this morning, guessing it was just reset. in a 12hr period without a change in weather and without touching the car here was my "GOM" if we can even call it that.

5pm - 96% - 176miles
9pm - 96% - 125miles
8am - 96% - 204 miles
Keep on guessing!

Mine charged to 100%, and range is 284. That will drop quick...

And, I again got the warning, at the time the update was applied, that my frunk was opened. Which of course it wasn't.
