iOS 17 issues with CarPlay?

Yes with most wireless connections if you install version 17 you might have some Internet connection issues that's all I've seen across all of my Ford cars.

I had to kill and relaunch FordPass before I could get in my car. It was stuck saying Bluetooth Connecting.

I am also experiencing the Connected Road Apple Maps issue.

No issues - updated first thing. iPhone 14 Pro - using PaaK, CarPlay, Apple Maps, Spotify, Teams, Messaging, calls all working well.

I've noticed the audio lag is now gone in iOS 17 wireless CarPlay, anyone else? It used to take a second or so to actually stop the music when you pressed pause on the screen, but now it's instantaneous! so glad this is fixed!

CarPlay and paak seem slightly less reliable. Ive used my backup code 3 times this week and normally it’s once a month or so. I’ve had to reboot the center screen a couple times to get CarPlay connected.

Haven't experienced at all, it was pretty seamless

Is everyone here using wireless? For people using wired, have you noticed major clipping in the audio?

Been using it on a couple of public betas before updating. No specific issues wirelessly. Except maybe that the 'handshake' seems a bit slower.

This would be amazing!! I’m suffering through audio clipping wired CarPlay because I cannot stand the 2-3 second delay with wireless.

Still seeing the same issues with messed up directions in the IC - lots of "connected road" and flat out confused directions that I had during the beta.

And now that 17 has officially launched I can no longer report issues.

Someone mentioned the "next song" was snappier in wireless - I'm still seeing the same ½ second lag.

So far no issues on my iPhone 14 Pro, but I confess I have not put it though all the paces.

I'm really looking forward to try out SharePlay.

Should still have feedback assistant, the builds are the same so if you forced an update on Monday or disabled the developer seed in Settings that’s how you lost it. Generally I suggest to those to stay in the developer seed channel for all updates so you keep feedback assistant.

I haven’t noticed any snappier music changes but I haven’t been paying attention to it. Did have an issue today with Sharing ETA, it was very laggy and not reliable for the receiving party. Going to have to see if that continues.

Speaking of SharePlay, it is a great feature and we have loved using it. Anyone notice though that the SharePlay screen is aligned left and isnt fully centered on our displays? Tint detail but it seems they missed it. lol

Apple definitely made some under the hood changes to CarPlay in iOS 17. Likely in preparation for 2.0 Since we have not heard much about 2.0, my bet is there is a delay.

I can confirm that carplay navigation is fouled up in ios17. The turns shown on the driver screen do not match up with what is displayed on the map. Really confused me on a drive last night.

On the plus side, after power-up 5.1.1 I have a frunk button!!

Good point - I'll flip the Beta switch back on

I will also be road tripping to Montreal this week-end so I'll try out the fancy new charger enhancements they made to Maps
