I tried them, didn't really work out like I'd hoped. They aren't strong enough to "grab" the phone, and even after fiddling with the phone to get it to hold on them, charging eventually stopped after a few minutes.
I've just given up on the built-in charging mat. Even when I've had it stay connected/charging for an extended period it's very slow (while using Apple Carplay). Using an aftermarket magsafe charging plugged into the USB C port there, it actually charges my phone while using Carplay.
Exactly, ended up running a Fast charge puck from the center console socket to the front tray .I tried them, didn't really work out like I'd hoped.
