The MME will be my 8th plug in vehicle. I've had a 15 Focus EV, 17 Prius Prime, 18 Pacifica Hybrid, 19 Leaf 40 kWh, 20 Leaf 62 kWh, 20 Pacifica Hybrid, 22 Leaf 62 kWh. The last 2 are what I currently own.

Aloha,
wanted to start a thread to see who is the first time electric car owners. Did you know what you were getting into when you got your MME, or did you have to do some serious Bill Nye the science guy digging to convince yourself ok, I can do this, this car suffices my needs ( i drive X-miles to work/ I drive From Boston to Seattle 8 times a year). If this is your first EV, what is the first engineering accomplishment to charge the car, for example ran an extension cord from the utility pole, or pulled the whole battery and ran it down to a nuclear submarine...come Friday I'll be picking up my MME (caught between naming it BANSHEE or Andromeda) this will be my 6th EV since Nov 15. Looking forward to hearing from everyone. If this is your "FIRST" how much time driving did you spend staring at the Guess O Meter vs the road, cause now you have a gauge telling you, you have x miles, then you stomp the power, or dive to Denver and you go from 150 miles left to 40 in a matter of seconds.

First EV. Sold my Toyota Tundra for this car. Love it. Such a joy to drive even after almost a year. I chuckle every time I drive by a gas station now. ⛽ Don't miss dropping 80 dollars on a tank every two weeks. Probably more like 100 now with gas prices even higher now. The car seems to be getting better with every update as well. Which is something you wouldn't get with a non EV car. Really glad I didn't get the tesla...

Second EV, the MME joined the Tesla Model 3 in the garage. Reserved March 2020, right after I got home from trip from DFW to Phoenix and Grand Canyon in the Tesla, my second long trip in an EV. At the time I was commuting 4 days a week to work, but just 2 weeks after reserving my job transitioned permanently to full time remote. Now it is a balance to find time to drive both since it is only for pleasure now.

The wife used to work for Audi HQ in VA and had 2 etrons as a company vehicle. Technically not "ours" but we did have EV experience prior to the MME. I will say the MME is a much better experience than the etron.

The Mach-E will be my first EV. I have been in a few Teslas and knew from first time I drove a EV , no longer wanted to have another ICE car.

MME will be our first EV and will replace my daily driver, Ford Expedition. We are also waiting for Taycan CT to replace wife’s MB GL550. Just getting tired of driving to gas stations, waiting in line and driving back twice a week between the both of us.

Put in an order for a Premium Extended Range AWD. It would be my first EV and will replace my Subaru Legacy.

Did some research, mainly YouTube and forums, and had a brief test drive of a 2021 Mach E. Given that it will be many months before delivery, I plan to get a more complete test drive, as well as test drive the ID.4, EV6, and IONIQ 5. I also like the look of the Rivian R1S, but it's not in the budget at this time.

I'm not married to the Mach-E and if the $7,500 tax rebate ends prior to taking delivery, I'll just walk away and look for something else.

This will be my first EV, replacing a Ford Edge. My wife drives a Prius Prime, and in the 2+ years of owning it, she's maybe filled it up 7 times in the 12000 miles she's driven. Sold me on what EVs could be, and really enjoy the idea of plugging in and topping off at home and always leaving home with a "full tank". Can't wait!

The MME is my first EV, the only reason i took the EV route is because of the insane gasoline and diesel prices in sweden. Im not a super fan of EVs, and im glad i have multiple fun ICE cars to drive as well, but it sure has its perks as well.

My first EV. Watching reviews etc, I figured it'd be pretty much like ICE, and it has been so far. I can plug it in at home and don't have to take the detour via gasoline stations, which is nice. I haven't been driving so far I need to charge outside my home, though. Mostly short trips, longest trip like 250km. I was interested in trying electric, I like new tech things.

I was driving a 20 year old car so anything would be an upgrade at that point.
