Every time I plug my new MachE into my JuiceBox 40 (plug in, not hard wired) charger, I get a notice from the Ford Pass app that the charging was stopped due to a fault in the charger. I get no fault codes on the app that help me troubleshoot this. I called the EnelX customer service and they said it's a problem with the car. I verified that I have no scheduled charging session times. She walked me through resetting up the charger as a new charger (unplug and re-plug in, go through the "install new charger" sequence of connecting to WiFi). I can't imagine I really need to be doing that for every charging session, but I can't figure out where to start with troubleshooting and fixing this! Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Being plug in you should probably check out the 14-50 receptacle to make sure it was an industrial outlet utilized and it's not already burnt up.

Yup! That is exactly what's happening!

Do you get the same error with the Ford Mobile Charger?
This is the post you should be focused on. Try with the included charger and see if it works - process of elimination. If the included charger works, then it's the JuiceBox. If it doesn't work, then it's the car. That's what you should be focused on trying.

Are the plug connectors on both the car and charger clean?

I stayed at a hotel last year that had four of these chargers. One didn't work. Another EV owner mentioned they have a JuiceBox and the connectors can have a loose fit that causes a problem -- although in his case (he had it for years) he attributed it to wear.

I had a Juicebox charger for 2 years with no issues. When they forced migration to their new app, I had nothing but problems including what you are describing. After many call to Juicebox customer service, my box finally gave a 5 beep signal and it had to be replaced. Since then, things seem to be working. Long story short, I would bet this is a Juicebox and not a Mach E problem.

Thnaks! Somehow I hadn't thought about this, but definitely makes the most sense in the way of troubleshooting. I will try this the next time I charge!

I appreciate this for future travel issues. In this case, I really don't think it's a cleanliness/wear problem. Car and charger are less than a month old. Car charge connection has't been opened outside the garage. Same for charger plug.

One more thread that’s making me glad I’m not getting a JuiceBox.

Although a different issue, I had a juicebox and the plug was too hot to touch, over 133 degrees and that was only after a few hours not 7. they tried to tell me all was ok.

finally spoke to someone who had some common sense and they sent me a new one. Now plug is ok to touch even after several hours of charging.

bottom line is follow up and if Ford Charger is ok demand a new one from Juicebox
