Just had my L2 charger installed (ChargePoint home flex via NEMA 14-50 outlet) install (minus charger) was 900$! While the car is defiantly taking on the juice much quicker than the mobile charger. The Ford pass app says I’m plugged in on ACbasic. Is this normal? I was expecting something like L2 charging? :) thoughts?

I don't have my car yet, but I'm assuming any L1 or L2 AC charger is going to show that in the app right now.

Have the same charger and get the same answer. Assuming that's what you get for anything other than DC charge.

I would be happy if my car would take a charge from my Flex unit. No such luck yet. I see AC Basic when I'm plugged into L2 at the dealer or public charger, as well.

I hope so. Mine said the same thing yesterday when I was using the mobile charger at home.

Basic refers to the communications method between the EVSE and the EV. Level 1 and Level 2 chargers are usually Charging Mode 2, and use voltage/pulse width modulation called Basic Signalling. DC Fast chargers are Charging Mode 4, and use powerline communication (PLC) called High Level Communications (HLC). A Level 1 or Level 2 charger can also use Mode 3, AC charging using HLC.
