I'm confused. Did the X-Plan pricing have to be requested on the initial order? I just assumed that it could be applied to the cost of the car when I picked it up (when I show my X-Plan documentation).
Doesn't need to be requested, but it's a good idea to confirm that your dealer honors X-Plan pricing. Some don't.

I confirmed with my dealer initially that they do. Then when I went in to sign the order sheet, I reminded them again I was using X-Plan, so he printed my WBDO order sheet (that I signed) with a line for plan pricing right on it.

Here's mine...

Damn I have a dilemma now... Dealer contacted me saying that X-Plan cannot be applied to
Got a response this morning from the EV Team. I'd say it's 95% reassuring that X-Plan is still good on First Editions, despite the website absence. I noted my Machdrop FE VIN# in the email, which is the "referenced below" vehicle they allude to. So they must have looked it up specifically.

"You should be fine. The First Edition referenced below will come to the dealer with an X plan price printed on the invoice, so no issues."
Heard from my dealer that FE will not be eligible for X-plan... Not sure if that would it be their decision or Ford's? Either way just may need to make a decision whether the FE is worth 4k more...

Our understanding is that X-Plan pricing is an all-or-nothing thing. Either a dealer accepts it for all vehicles (that Ford allows it on) or they don't. It sounds like your dealer does accept it in general, so either they're choosing to disallow it for the FE themselves (which reportedly is not supposed to be allowed), or they mistakenly think Ford isn't allowing on the FE anymore. My guess is the latter, as it is confusing now that Ford doesn't show it listing on it's own line anymore on the website.

Do you have a VIN from your dealer? They should have that by now. If I were you, I'd probably email the Ford EV Team ([email protected]) with that VIN number and ask them to confirm that the invoice will show X-Plan pricing on it. If they do, I'd pass that response onto your dealer to show them it's eligible.

It's possible your dealer is trying to pull a fast one, but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt first and assume they may be just as confused as we were when FE disappeared from the Program website. Our best guess is that Ford revamped the Program page to tie directly to the base model codes. FE's actually just use the Premium base model code (K3S) with an FE option package added on (301A).

None of this is 100% for certain, of course. Just our best read on the situation at this point.

The X plan is listed as available for the FE. If any dealer doesn't take it for any reason, well that dealer stinks and unless you have an alternative dealer, you're out of luck. But Ford shouldn't allow random dealers to dictate it's Xplan policies in my opinion. If it's a Ford based plan, all dealers should honor it.

Did you just pull that page today, or is that an old one? I just tried again and the First Edition line is still missing. It was there in the past, but sometime a few weeks ago the FE disappeared off it.

Is that a recent screen shot?
I looked at X plan yesterday and the First Edition is not listed. And, my window sticker is showing the old Premium base price so I am not sure how the dealer is going to calculate X plan?

Unfortunately it isn't anymore - at least when I just checked:

As others have mentioned, I assume this was just a fluke as they "cleaned" up some things, as the FE is simply a package on the Premium.

the First edition is not on there anymore. I do not know if that is because they are all sold out so don't need it there anymore or if it does not qualify. Working on finding out.

Thx! Do you know also that if a dealer takes x plan on other vehicles, do they need to take it on all x plan priced vehicles? Or can they choose which models to apply it?

no, I just re-tried with my same zip and Ford did pull the FE. dirty trick... and I don't see how the Premium trim entry can also be the FE trim entry even though technically the FE is a trim level of the premium. You would think that they would mention it inside the Premium listing, and then why take it off the list when it was already there. whatever.. just build the dam cars and take my money!

They don't mention any other options on the Premium either (like the ER battery, color upchargers, etc), so it's logical that the 301A option package (FE) wouldn't have a special note either. They're both just K3S Premium AWD base.
and then why take it off the list when it was already there.
That's the perplexing part. Only thing I can think is that all through the year they had some sort of manual placeholders in that X-Plan page rather than the actual models codes. And then they recently loaded the "real" codes in there, where the FE is actually just a base Premium + an options package. Thus why it doesn't have it's own line anymore.

But that's just my guess.

The First Edition is not listed for the same reason the AWD price or extended battery price is not listed. They only list base price for each trim level as it would be too cumbersome to include every possible variant in the chart. X Plan will be available on First Edition as long as your dealer participates. There is no need to worry.

I like your confidence. However, if that were the case, why is the CA Route 1 listed? One could argue it's just a Select with the CA Route 1 trim.

CA Route 1 is its own equipment group - 200A. Select is 100A.
