They can't figure out why the ford cover is so heavier than the ID4. The ID4 bends like cheap sheet metal, the Ford does not.
Plus they go on to mention complicated casting for the underside of the VW compared to the sheet on the MMe, which would obviously be a weight/rigidity compromise offset by the top cover. Seems as though the ID4 has rigidity on the lower cover mainly while the MMe has it shared by the lower and upper.

Nope. The they are planning to use cells from the yet-to-be-completed SK plant here in future vehicles, but Ford has always said the cells for the 2021 Mach E were LG chem cells.
If they tear down a F-150 Lightning, then they might find SK.

The cells in current MachEs are definitely LG Chem - SK's Georgia factory wasn't even open when Murno's Select was being built, and the LG/SK lawsuit that was preventing them from starting up was only recently resolved. Murno seems to be aware of the lawsuit situation, but doesn't put together that it is part of the reason that the MachE in front of him can't have SK cells in it.

He is causing a lot of confusion, even InsideEVs is now reporting his claim that they are SK. When they crack open one of the modules I'm sure they'll figure out the truth...

In the meantime, the videos are informative - I don't listen to the people all that much but seeing the closeups of the interior of the equipment is great and informative.
