Strange I’ve been calling all my nearest Ford Dealerships., Peterborough, Kings Lynn. Boston, All still saying
“Sorry No Stock Yet” ???
Tell them to check their messages from Ford, they’ll have one on their system that the keys are now available to order.

After my dealer said they weren’t available I went to another dealer for the keys and told my own who told me they’d weren’t available the week before when I booked it in for servicing there that the keys were available, they checked their messages from Ford and are now booking in people for the key recall!

My mother who is in her 80’s just picked up her new puma st line . Anyway nice little car all digital WITH a little compact key as per Mach e key but has a puma on it, why can’t we have one of these ? instead of a key the size of a shoe
Cars made in North America have to have the biggest and as we all know the bigger the better ;)Although to be fair, the bigger Mach E key has the easiest procedure I've known for replacing the button cell. No need for prising both halves apart using a screwdriver, just use the existing blank key blade.

So, while my car was having a service and new tires :(, I was told that all the new keys for the Mach e are a change to the back of them where the Ford logo is, they take the Ford logo plastic off and put the Mustang logo there.

They admitted they are not new keys. Can anyone confirm if things have changed?

Definitely not, it's a much larger and weightier key.

Theres a comparison photo on the previous page.

The 🤣 emoji is for the bull that the Ford dealer told you. Honestly, where do they get the staff?

My garage contacted me last week to tell me that the keys have arrived back in stock. They are indeed massive and I think the wife prefers the original Ford key. I’m indifferent but like the froot button, although it only really gets used once a month. I note that the key does have a bigger coin battery, and while this doesn’t fully explain the increase in size, the extra battery life is appreciated.

I got big keys to begin with on my 2023 with the pony on the back and no frunk button. Is this key swap a UK thing?

I bought the one with the frunk button off amazon and programmed it myself(easy if you have two keys…Google it). Have used the frunk button 3 times in six months.

Yes - UK keys have the added safety measure they only work while picked up / in use for keyless entry. The US key is susceptible to a relay attack if it’s close by the car I believe.

These didn’t exist in the Mach E form when the car was released. They do now.

The size helps to explain it's the easiest keyfob I've ever had to change the battery. The blank blade is used to prise open the fob. No screwdrivers or pointy tools needed. (Except for levering out the battery which you would have to do with any fob):) :)

Just had my keys changed. Look nice but frunk doesn't work when i push the button. I have now got a warning message frunk not working service now every time i start the car and a permanent red car on the display. My dealer said as out of warranty i will have to pay £225 for them to look at it and then whatever the cost to repair. I contacted ford customer service who said get it sorted and they may show me some good will though I doubt it. Seems so unfair as never used the electrical gubbins to open the frunk so may have been broken from new. I also explained that if they had supplied the keys when they sent me the letter it would have been in warranty.

You could just be waiting on an OTA update to let it do the frunk electronically. Does the frunk button show on your big screen when you hit the little car for drive mode?

Here in Holland we have had those big Mustang branded keyfobs with the frunk button on it since day one back in 2021. We never had those smaller ones...

It took at least two years before the frunk button actually did something.
