Just DMd the Ford Account with this. In case this info helps anyone ?
This afternoon my 23 Mach E suddenly wouldn’t let me unlock any of the doors. The horn beeps from fob, the car welcome lights were coming on, but it just would not unlock, I tried all doors, from my FordPass app, nothing. I rebooted my phone to no avail. I contact Roadside service who sent out someone who tried to open the door using balloons and a wand to pull the door handle. Didn’t work. I suggested we try to pop frunk, and jumpstart it, in case it’s a problem with the 12volt battery. We opened the bumper hatch, but there is only a positive (red) lead. The negative one is not there. So he said there was nothing he could do, so I contacted Roadside Service again, and they arranged to have my Mach-E towed. That took another 3 hour wait, just to have the driver not listen when I said he needed wheel caddy’s or something, as it is not in tow mode, he swore at me and told me he knew what he was doing. He put little ramps on the back tires, sprayed lubricant on the bed and dragged it onto the flatbed. I have pictures. I’m concerned about damage to my vehicle just from towing now. Is there anything that can be done to have my Mach-e serviced in a reasonable amount of time? My dealership typically has 3 month waiting periods for service, and I’ve only owned it since Dec 2022, with 7400 miles on it.

Perhaps you can try turning off Bluetooth and the Fordpass and re-opening them so that the Bluetooth key is reconnected to open the door and start

Thank you. Tried that. Turned off Bluetooth, rebooted phone. Got fob out of range to try PaaK only, tried fob with no PaaK. Tried door code (both master code and custom one), tried approaching from all different sides. I had around 5 hours of nothing to do but try. I figure it must be 12volt, but because the negative lead is missing, I couldn’t pop the frunk to try and jump the battery. ?

Is PAAK able to open windows? If yes, then you can use the inside handles to open.

Thanks, Ford Pass thinks it opens the windows, but they do nothing. The first Roadside Assist person used air bladders to get a prob inside to pull the door handle. Nothing happend. ?

one of the best vids on how to open the frunk with a dead battery. It also shows how to jumpstart the car.

Log into ford.com then go back up to upper right corner click on the person icon, then select ".......account" (in my case it's chris' account) it'll open up a window to give you state of charge on your 12v. but it certainly sounds like a 12v issue.

Horrified at how they pulled your car up onto the ramp. I thought the appropriate way is to use dollies under each wheel.

Thanks, I did. Last report showed it at 81%. My HVB is like 84%. I’m not sure when that value was recorded by Ford Pass. In fact Ford Pass still shows where I parked it, not where it was towed to. Car batteries have a tendency to fail suddenly in South Texas. ?

Thanks for the link. The problem is that the negative (black) lead to open the frunk is just missing. Spent 45 mins digging in the access port trying to find it. It is either simply not there, or fell down somewhere I couldn’t find it. The first Roadside tech tried to use a screwdriver to ground it, but it still wouldn’t pop. It could be the 12volt is too low to open doors, but not low enough for the frunk to pop open?☹

And I’m gonna let my wife keep chewing me out she doesn’t drive. I don’t work and I bought me a used car just to have in case it’s kind of stuff happens because they’ll only give you a Rent-A-Car if it’s under warranty for 10 days without charging you. Now, according to Ford, who is reimbursing me for the seven days they charge me because they had the car two weeks or more. They’re supposed to give you the car till they’re done and then Ford will reimburse them so don’t let them snow you.

Since the welcome lights come on, your 12VB isn’t dead and you would not have been able to open the frunk with the jumpers anyway. It sounds like you have some failure in the body control module.

1 July 2024 Update,

My dealership actually looked at my Mach-E today (yay!). However as of closeing time, I have not heard anything new. I do know they plan on applying the power cord stuck "recall" whenever they get into it, and that they are trying the standard steps to get into it. Plus, Drew of the Ford Corporate team that participates here, has created a case for me, and have presumably engaged my dealership. I am just ecstatic that they didn't put me on the 3-month wait list. They have also put me in a rental car (2021 Escape, but it gets me where I need to go), until Friday. So hopefully I will have it back by then. I also asked them to take.a look at the motors and the undercarriage where the tow company towed it, just in case they caused damage. I'll post back here as I get more info, in case this info helps others...

2 July 2024 (Total Elapsed time: 40 hours)

Got a call from dealership this morning, asking for my second key. They are still trying everything except checking the 12Volt. I asked my wife to deliver the second key to them, and she told me that they said they needed it to talk to "Tech Support" for troubleshooting purposes. I am very glad that at least they are doing something, as opposed to my Mach-E just sitting there waiting. Ford Pass still indicates the Mach-E is parked where I was locked out, instead of at the dealership.

I'll continue to update as I get info... Thanks!
