I'm pretty sure that $2500 credit dropped to $2000 this year, and the car has to cost less than $60,000.

I have confirmed you are correct. So another $500 less incentive. I thought California had ambitions about EV adoption. Apparently this has become $500 less of a priority.

Yes, it is a trade off. If you want targeted 300 mile range, you need the extended range RWD with targeted 0-60 in mid- 6 seconds range.

AWD gives faster starts due to the twin motors and more horsepower (and more traction). But more power uses up the charge faster...you can't have both. Eventually, higher-power-density solid state batteries will extend range, but we're not there yet.

How can you compare a car the doesn't exist (Mach-E GT) to one that does and can buy right now?
