Technically, dual pane glass has a layer of some sort of gas between two paned pieces of glass (hence the name “dual pane”). Laminated glass is two pieces of glass laminated over a layer that increases the puncture resistance of the glass, no air between the pieces of glass. ??

Congrats! In CA a front plate is required, so YOU have to tell them not to do it. Some dealers will ask you, but most will just do it. I told my dealer if they drill holes I won't buy the car. They made sure everyone knew not to put a front plate on. Always have to be proactive, especially when the delivery checklist states to install the front license plate...

Make sure you do the Clean Vehicle Rebate for some extra cash and get your carpool decals!

The Dealership does the clean air discount... only 750.00 but, they will apply to the purchase price... My understanding is... there is another rebate for 2,000.00 if you sell a car to buy the Mach-e... Another rebate with SCE and the last one 7500.00 Federal tax credit...

Ford gave me 2,000.00 back... plus, the 750.00 clean air from the dealer....

The was the actual cost... with the Balloon payment program - loan at 1.9%

For the front license plate, first make sure your dealer will omit the mounting of the bracket. If they are unwilling to do so, transfer your order to one who will. Mine just made me sign a waiver to cover their butts in case I got pulled over and decided to sue them for not mounting it (I felt that was perfectly reasonable). After I got my plates, I applied to the pilot program through www.licenseplatewrap.com and a couple of weeks later I got this: ??

I am pretty sure the cops in my town didn’t know about the wrap being legal. I got pulled over a few times in the first week after putting the front plate on the car. They stopped after that, so I can only surmise that they now know it’s legal and word has spread through the PD. Note that the PD in my town is notorious for pulling over motorists for the smallest infraction. ??‍?

I think you should just click the link I posted. I've already stated the $750 at the dealer level for clean air is different than the clean vehicle rebate you apply for post purchase. If you don't want the extra $2k, then please don't worry about it.

Your GT has Magneride suspension? Thought only GTPE has it.....
Even with the Magneride, it's a little bouncy at times, overall it handles very well for a 5000 lb ride....

I love being diff from others in my neighborhood as they ALL have Teslas (3, Y, X, S)

Right, only the GTPE has Magneride. I just put 275/40R20 tires on my GTPE (requires 9"/+35mm offset aftermarket wheels to fit), and it REALLY improved the ride...MUCH more planted around corners (I think the 40 vs 45 sidewall helps a lot).

@HuntingPudel I like that wrapped plate, doubt they'll let us try that in WI anytime soon. I have the paper temp tag in the back window and will only have that until the day it expires. I really don't want to have to put one in front but some agencies around here are sticklers for it.

I have the regular white version which seems to be a bit taller due to the taller cursive California section on top. Does anyone have the wrap with the regular white plate on a GT? I believe the select and premiums have a taller front bumper?!

I did not cut, which is why I needed the heat gun to stretch and shrink. The plate wrap would not have adhered nicely to the bumper without some extra oomph. ??

Update on the 2022 Mach-E GT Performance Edition.... I have the black wheels on for now... I might switch them back.... I also, added a clear bra to the entire front end... bumper, entire fenders, flares, entire hood, grille, headlights, spoiler and tinted the front windows to 20%... the guy even did clear decals on the rear flares and vertical sash moldings near the button to open the doors... to keep from scratching up the moldings... looks cool... I've had the car for a month now... I'm truly impressed funny thing... my car doesn't not have the liftgate foot sensor... they said it was parts distribution problem... but, I think, it was too many issues with it... probably best... it's a beautiful car... the best part is... there aren't very many of them.

old thread, but did you try with the regular white plate on your GT after all? i am wrestling with the same thing right now. all the pictures i've seen here are of the black plate.
