One thing I dislike about the Asian cars is that they are incapable of remembering your preferences. Drives me crazy on my Mazdas. Ford got that right. If I want 1 pedal on every trip, chances are I'll want it on my next trip as well. Why do I have to select everything I like every time I drive?
Did Ford get it right? Because my seat position is never remembered correctly, no matter how many times i long press the door buttons, it doesn't save the suggested destinations feature ever and every now and then they push out an update that just messes with random settings like auto mirror folding.

OOS's review of the HDA2 driver assistance system on the EV9. Better than HDA1, but missing key safety issues. Scored far below Mercedes, Tesla-FSD, Blue Cruise, SuperCruise,

I just watched Tom Voelk’s review of the GT Line on Driven and it looks impressive. At some point might think about switching over from my wife’s minivan to this one though would be giving up space.

EV9 production has shifted to Georgia, although battery production has not. Now qualifies for 1/2 the tax credit.

Battery counts for 100% of the tax credit. NA assembly is just a requirement.

Rivian qualifies for half credit because it assembles the battery packs in Normal, IL. The cells are from Korea.

Hi, I have a 2021 SR Premium RWD mach e and we just switched our second car (Volvo XC90) to a brand new Kia EV9 Gt-Line. Now we are 100% EV.

I didn't have the time to fully learn about the EV9 so far, got it last week.. but here are my first impression.

Mach e plus:
- Ford made a really simple to use and easy to learn car. The Kia OS / infotainment is not as user friendly. The EV9 has way more menu/option.. but it take a real techy to master it all. To me more is not always better.

-I have difficulty finding my confort zone everywhere: climate has alot of option but i need to play too much with it. Seat has alot of option but button are not easy to master and are not intuitive. In the Mach e I felt like home in my initial test drive.

-I'm missing some of the feature I took for granted and never tought was that important: Auto-Lock car door when leaving the vehicule away ( No kia/hyundai/genesis have that). The keyPad to enter the car without key... (Used that alots with the kids when the want to enter before me or at the beach when i don't carry phone/keys)

- the screen / mach e navigation is hard to beat.

Kia ev9 plus:
- of course space... but it's not the same vehicule category so comparison is useless
- Road confort. Even on the gt line 21 inch, the ride is more confortable the car is silent.
- Range / efficiency look way more impressive that the mach e especially for the vehicule size.
- EV9 does line change by itself on cruise highway !!! My 2021 mach could not do it in my 3 year bluecruise membership.

It's really early for me now. I like both, but so far, if my mom or dad would want an EV i would still recommend the mach e over a Kia product based on my early test..like I recommend an Iphone to them over an Android even if i'm an android user.

You are best son ever?. Mine would too if I weren’t the biggest Apple fanboy in the family.

And my pet peeve on the EV9 is the placement of the Start/Stop button. I think they are redundant but if you have to have one the Mach-E placement wins hands down. And the frunk size, if you are hauling 6-7 people the Mach-E might have more storage with its much bigger frunk.

But overall it is a nice EV with prices well below MSRP since I test drove one in January.
