I read that! I'm talking about the 3000+ windshields not the panoramic glass.
Same with windshield "Needless to say, a windshield that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury, so Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their Mach-Es to a dealer to remove and reinstall the windshield."

The fix: dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield This is what I am asking about! Do you think the dealers will outsource removing and replacing the windshields? Not just adding adhesive like the panoramic roof recall states; I know the dealers can do that.

Got it but do you think the dealers will do the actual work? I thought windshield repair requiring removing and either replacing or re-glueing requires specialized tools. They show something like that in the Safelite commercials when they swing the windshield in place. I would think the mechanics don't do something as specialized as that but maybe I'm wrong.

I'm sure it depends on the dealership. Some do windshield work themselves. Some even have full body shops. Others contract these things out.

Thank you, that is what I wanted to know. I didn't think about body shops where I'm sure they do it. My particular dealer doesn't have their own body shop. I guess we'll have to wait and see if and how many US MME's are affected.

Received February 2 here.

No wind noise after 8000 km and all appears to be sound? One wheel thrown rock ricocheted off the windshield but that is it (minor but of course I see it). Not seeing a problem here but should look into it for safety. This thing has a real passing presences on 2ways and not looking to drop the roof. It is not leaking either so messing with it if not required is not required.

Anyone get the notice on there app?
I feel like the app is catered to Americans so we might not even get a notification

Here in Quebec even the dealers who have body shops, it is still a 3rd party. There are no dealerships here who have their own glass guys.

Sounds easy but most the time when they try to remove the windshield from the factory it cracks they just have to replace it with a brand new one.
