You can get a glass roof in every Mach-E trim except the Select. (Standard on Route 1, First Edition and Premium, optional on GTs).
Yes but I don't think Many ppl here in Canada order the Route 1. From The people I've spoken to and the cars I have seen, it's either the Premium or the Select

I can only hope that this issue was taken care of in the US already. about 4 months ago they had windshield and sun roof breakage. Hoping it’s the early models. -sorry, I didn’t mean to wish the problem on any early purchases. I meant to add “and it’s already taken care of”.

I can tell you I was one of the first to get it in Canada except for those who ordered the FE's. I got mine April. So i'm probably part of the recall.

We noticed more wind noise than we'd expect, seemed to be from the right top corner. Will be interesting to see what they recall in the US.

Ford Recalls 5,000 Mach-Es In Canada Over Loose Windshield, Roof
Owners of affected vehicles will have their windshields reinstalled and panoramic roofs glued properly at Ford dealers.
Ford Mustang Mach-E Mach-E Windshield recall in Canada affects 3,178 vehicles 2021-ford-mustang-mach-e-in-front-of-windmills

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E is seeing another recall following the one announced in March over loose front subframe bolts.

This time, however, the new recall (technically there are two of them) affects some 5,000 vehicles sold in Canada. Mind you, there's always the risk that the action could also expand to Mustang Mach-E vehicles sold in the US because the electric crossover is made at the same Mexican plant for both markets.

The first recall (Manufacturer Recall Number 21C22) concerns 3,178 units sold in Canada. On these vehicles, the windshield may not be properly attached, causing the glass to become loose and separate from the vehicle in case of a crash.

Needless to say, a windshield that detaches in a crash could create an increased risk of injury, so Ford will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their Mach-Es to a dealer to remove and reinstall the windshield.

The second recall (Manufacturer Recall Number 21S42) is somewhat similar and concerns 1,812 Mustang Mach-E vehicles sold in Canada. On these models, the glass panel of the panoramic sunroof may not be properly attached.

As a result, the glass could become loose and separate from the vehicle over time, creating a road hazard for others and increasing the risk of a crash. To fix this problem, Ford dealers will clean and install additional adhesive to the panoramic roof glass.

As several Twitter users pointed out upon hearing the news, the second recall is a bit ironic for Ford seeing as Darren Palmer, Ford’s head of electric vehicles, said at the EV’s launch in December 2020 that the Mustang Mach-E’s “roof doesn’t come off.” Well, as it turns out, on certain models it does.
“The doors fit properly, the plastics and other materials color-match, the bumpers don't fall off, the roof doesn't come off when you wash it, the door handles don't get stuck in cold weather.”
Darren Palmer, Ford global director for BEVs in an interview with Autoblog
That was obviously a direct jab at Tesla and its quality control issues. As one Twitter user ironically put it, “This aged well.

Received February 2 here.

No wind noise after 8000 km and all appears to be sound? One wheel thrown rock ricocheted off the windshield but that is it (minor but of course I see it). Not seeing a problem here but should look into it for safety. This thing has a real passing presences on 2ways and not looking to drop the roof. It is not leaking either so messing with it if not required is not required.

Anyone get the notice on there app?

Do you think the dealers will outsource replacing the windshields because that is something they probably don't do? Someone like Safelite. I'm sure if that many Canadian MME's need their windshields replaced many in US will too.

I personally think this is were they are forced to replace in Canada by Canada but are not forced yet in U.S. Would be nice if Ford would do what's best for safety but we know all about that. Would also be nice to get an email from Ford letting each and every customer know if they are impacted or not. Loosing one of those two parts would be traumatic for either the driver or the person behind. I fear the process for those folks, it's not going to be smooth.

I read that! I'm talking about the 3000+ windshields not the panoramic glass.
