Mach-e won't turn off

I've had this issue multiple time now. Would be nice if @Ford Motor Company would update us on a fix for this.

That’s not what they do.

They have 1 job on here- help expedite getting you to your local Ford service center to fix problems.

They have never shared an opinion, nor a fix here.

Luckily, other people here “in the know” have said the fix is coming in the fall.

Mine said it was still on auto but I turned the switch to off and then back to auto and it fixed it.

I have the same problem constantly!!! It’s very frustrating. I always have people telling me your lights are on. The indicator light never says it’s in auto and I know for sure my knee does not hit it.

I have a 22 Premium, AWD, SRB.. built 7/29/2022, received 10/25/2022. I also have the problem with auto lamp function, it is always set to auto, however lately the headlamps come on when I turn it off. There is no orange light indicating lamp on etc. and it chimes when you get out. Set it back to auto and it may or may not stay in that position.

Is there a replacement switch or TSB that covers the issue yet?

I asked my Ford dealer last week (Canada) and still no fix. He said Ford Escape and Edge SUV’s having the same issue.

It’s both puzzling and frustrating that this isn’t fixed after 2 years.

The light switch issue affects numerous vehicles beyond the MME. Our 2020 Raptor has the issue from time to time for example. We keep the light switch in OFF instead of auto (it doesn’t automatically switch to auto the next key cycle).

As for long standing bugs on the MME, none of the “day 1” bugs have been fixed yet. Puzzling to say the least.

I just had this for the first time. I was certain that I hit the switch with a bag of coffee, now I'm not so sure!
