Main screen rebooted while driving

My main screen recently turned black and it seems the system rebooted while I was driving. The driver screen stayed on. This is the 2nd time this happened with both timed Android Auto being connected. It immediately rebooted and came back up.

Has this happened to others? Any cause for concern except a minor annoyance?

it has happen twice over the last week or so. I have GTPE Job 2

It has happended to me once. It happened many times in the years we owned a KIA Sorrento.

This happened to us twice. There's an update to the BlueCruise Maps that's needed for some vehicles and it apparently doesn't always come OTA, so we needed to go to the dealer. I did the update myself because the dealer is a 3+ hour round trip drive + time waiting on them to do the updates.

I've had this happen a couple times using wireless CarPlay. It would reboot right after I started up the car, but never while driving.

I had it happen on Sunday while driving, but it didn't reset itself. I had to do the manual reset myself to get rid of the black screen.

Lots of reasons for a Reboot. Could be just static electricity flux. Could be an overload on the screen to protect the hardware. I’ve noticed it occurring in my MachE and every other car I own with a large central screen. It’s just a computer screen and electronics tangling over some electric flow or Sw firmware memory snag. Hard to trace and generally just ignore it when it happens

Agreed. However, that news article indicated the driver of the Tesla could not accelerate or use turn signals. They can only brake. A bit more serious than my issue where I could not listen to music, use the HVAC, or us navigation for 1 minute.

Just happened to me today on a 2 day old GT(non-Pe). I had an Apple phone plugged into usb-c and was on a call.
A little scary given the threads of cars dying.

It happened to our two weeks old GT. It happened twice while driving according to my wife if I am not mistaken. It did come right back.
