Speaking for myself I do not feel disrespected. As far as tax credit goes there will be someone who feels ripped-off when it ends. I just believe anyone who has ordered a 2022 can feel confident that they will still be eligible.
Good for you.

I would be satisfied with an email that said-you are on track for 6-7 month delivery. I’ve seen some wait 10-12 months, some 2-3. I wouldn’t be as concerned about delays.

I wonder if it’s a marketing thing? I don’t think they are on track.
I'm sure there is that. I'm just so tired of Premium order holders getting screwed by Ford shamelessly prioritizing GT's and Lightning's. You will find no sympathy from me at this moment, just extreme negativity. ?

Here's my take, and it's totally conjecture, so feel free to take it with a 40# bag of salt.

From Ford's point of view:

1. Many of the scarce parts are common to all trims. Why not prioritize a bit to help the numbers work out?

2. Glass roofs add time and trouble during the build. Selects and some GTs have metal roofs. GTs have enough profit margin to make them worth building fast even with the glass roof.

3. Ford feels it has enough orders for Premiums and CR-1s for 2022 and they all have glass roofs, so why not call them "sold out," so Ford can satisfy stockholders by selling more GTs, and satisfy dealers by building Selects. Selects with AWD mind you for profit margin but the small battery so the big batteries are available for the GTs.

4. The park assist was holding everything back. Deleting that from current builds will get the factory moving again.

5. Cars that are already ordered (ordered in October, December, March, who cares?) are guaranteed to be sold, eventually. If not to the end-user that ordered, then to the customer dealer that can easily find an end-user to sell to, with or without some ADM. Throw some Premiums and CR-1s into each month's builds, but no sense prioritizing them until this quarter's earnings statements get calculated. They've got until the '23s start being built to get all those '22 Premiums and CR-1s built. I'm rooting for my car to get delivered before the tax credit gets cut in half, but if that happens it's only money, and even 1/2 the credit will just about pay the sales tax, so there's that.

6. Allocation and EV-priority states. My little backwater dealership in rural MI is not going to be a particularly high priority.

7. For a variety of reasons, I'm increasingly convinced (maybe due to wishful thinking?) that my dealer and my saleswoman are doing all they can to get my car built, but, see #6, above.

Again, totally conjecture on my part but it wouldn't make sense to make date ordered top of the priority list. I'm hopeful that it's at least somewhere on the priority list. Maybe it's at least a priority within the subset of Premium and CR-1 orders, after consideration of #6 above, of course.

Edit (because I'm lousy at making short posts):

8. Finishing up some cars in chip-hold purgatory during retooling would make sense in terms of corporate strategy right about now and would be a rare bit of fairness in this whole crazy scheme. Sure do hope those of you in chip-hold get your cars soon!

9. Lightenings likely have a high profit margin too so... oh crap.

I’m the type of car buyer (stubborn). See the car, fall in love with it, and refuse to buy anything else. This is the first time I didn’t find the car on a lot. ☹ This is definitely a lesson about patience (I’ve never had much of it).

Cynicism is justified. Ford has produced a popular BEV (high demand) that is experiencing slow delivery (low supply). Their promise to increase production is an empty one, at the moment. Creation of the Model e Division may or may not eventually improve things, but not likely in the near future.
To free my mind of the frustration/disappointment of the Ford MME ordering situation, I used my trade-in markup to offset the Hyundai Ioniq 5 markup. I bought a BEV that's every bit as good as the MME. (I'll decide what to do with the MME order, if and when it is fulfilled. I was hoping to get a "build" date from the 3-24 scheduling for May, but no.)

How do you like the HI5? It’s an interesting looking car. Definitely feels retro to me.

I received another "Your Order Has Been Updated" email yesterday morning, but I cannot determine if anything on my order has been changed. I read the discussion on other threads about the possibility of a delay for chips for the parking assist option - but I don't know how to see if my order has this option still or not. I spoke to my dealer on Friday afternoon and was told that his Ford Representative doesn't believe changing to the "Prep Kit" for Parking Assist would speed up my order. He couldn't access the system on Friday afternoon to check my order, so I hoped it might be updating - but it has been 48 hours with no indication of a scheduled date.

So, all I can do is wait until Thursday to see if I get a scheduled build date on the next update.

I don't think you'd have a VIN without a build week. Maybe it takes some time to filter through and it'll show up on your Ford account page later in the week

I am really enjoying it. So far, I'm not disappointed or dissatisfied in any way. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is nearly the equal to the Ford MME in most ways that I care about. (btw, There is a thread on this forum by folks who got a Hyundai Ioniq 5 while also having an unfulfilled MME order.) I didn't like the dealer markup but I used my trade-in "markup" to offset it. However, I haven't used the Ioniq 5 a lot, yet. I've got months to go before I have to compare it to "my" MME and choose between them, or some other solution.
Ford Mustang Mach-E May production? 1648433576838

At day 110 of predicted 196-day wait for MME, or 280 or whenever, I have yet to even sit in an MME, but I do expect dealer to honor price protection and no-ADM promises.
