I think so, NC feels low on the priority list. Canada seems to be the premier location.
I think it is deceiving. We are only 38 million population in Canada. You are 330 million in the USA. I have only seen a handful of MMEs in the wild here, on the West Coast of British Columbia. We are as hipster, granola, green, EV kind of crowd as anywhere…..and gas is $8 a gallon. Ford is trying to produce a vast amount of cars for your economy. We also don’t get a very good incentive here. The Select is the only MME that qualifies for the meager $3k rebate. Any MSRP over $45k does not qualify for the additional $5k Federal rebate. If I don’t get this car soon, I may not be able to afford to go to work! Lol

Emailed "my dealer" with questions about a) "active parking assist 2.0" removal and delivery delay if not removed, replace with prep kit and rebate' and b) who will tell me (dealer or Ford) whether I'm scheduled 3-24 or not for May build? and c) what about those 51 MME listed online inventory for "my dealer"-Autonation Ford Tustin?
a) He seemed to know about it but had no inclination/motivation to call anyone to ask permission or to do it automatically. I asked that it be removed from my order. b) Nope! NOT MAY build date. "My dealer" did not get any MME build dates on 3-24. (I'm thinking, "of course not, since my APA 2.0 hadn't been removed and my order would be forever postponed because of it.) I confirmed later that it had been removed today from the "Additional Features" list on my Ford.com account. c) "My dealer is part of Autonation and they "advertise" all their "coming soon" and "sale pending" MME as though each dealer had access to them, which they don't. "My dealer has not had one on their lot for inspection or test drive. I was assured that they would call me when my ordered MME got scheduled and at every milestone once a VIN is assigned. Sure sure.

Definitely found out you have to be proactive when dealing with your dealer. Mine had no idea about park assist issues. I email him every couple weeks and ask for updates. Answer- “ no updates, will let you know.”? Really wish the entire process was completed online. I think Ford would communicate more effectively. Right now, most dealers are clueless.

Ordered my GTPE in January and last week received my Production Date e-mail from Ford, for April 25.
GT and GTPE seem to be flying off the shelf.

It's definitely a possibility (Ford not hitting 200k in Q3 2022), and trust me, I pray for it. What we don't know is how much of the parts are going to the f150 lightning that already started the first deliveries. A bunch popping in my Twitter feed. Again, WE DON'T KNOW anything because Ford is, well, Ford.
We are consumers of Ford, but not customers. The dealers are the customers and we are not respected.
Speaking for myself I do not feel disrespected. As far as tax credit goes there will be someone who feels ripped-off when it ends. I just believe anyone who has ordered a 2022 can feel confident that they will still be eligible.

yeah that is really fast.

Is there any logistical reason the GTs are being produced more quickly? Or is it just because they sell for more?

Is the factory line always pumping them out or does it need to change over periodically?

I’m curious how this stuff is decided at the factory

I suspect there are two reasons for this. One is that it's the highest-end trim, so it gets a bit of extra service for that. The other end is a practical thing, which is that not all GTs have the glass panoramic roofs. Someone here posted before that the glass roof takes up additional assembly resources and in the assembly line they basically assemble two vehicles between every one vehicle requiring the glass roof. I don't know how they know that or if it was accurate, but it may partly explain why Select and many GT trims go ahead of Premium. It doesn't explain why the CA Rt 1 trim also seemed to go ahead of Premium, though.

Unfortunately, when most people report their dates and model, the GT-line guys don't usually say what options they chose... but I have heard a lot of folks saying they specifically chose GT because they wanted the performance and other features of Premium but specifically wanted a metal roof, so I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of GT orders lack the glass roof. It seems a lot of the dealer orders in my area are GTs with the glass roof, but I guess it makes sense that the dealerships would order high-end GTs with many options as well as low-end Selects... or maybe it's just confirmation bias, and the Premium models are bought more quickly so I don't see them listed.

I watched the last quarterly Ford earnings call. They were massacred by Wall Street analysts because the low profitability. I bet the GT and Select are more profitable.
