Are you going to buy it? That’s a steep Mark up
No but the msrp was 70k . Full loaded ..with the glass roof. I told them call me if it doesn’t sell at that price msrp might be doable.

They're probably planning to transition to 2023 significantly earlier than last time. The end of the 22 MY could be as soon as late summer. At some point they'll open up new orders for 23 MY cars produced in the fall.
Sounds logical, but it's pure speculation.

I’m losing hope pretty quickly from these replies.
Frankly, you should. I was like you. ?
Truth be told, we don't know ANYTHING. Ford is the WORST and the most FRUSTRATING and SHADY company to deal with. Anything, good or bad, can happen.

Interesting, there is no rhyme or reason with the ordering to production timeline. I hope everything goes smoothly for you?
You got it! ?

My dealer seemed unaware of the park assistance issue. Makes sense that if this is common then there would be a lot of unclean orders and Ford might have delayed to fix it.
My dealer said last week that the PA2 was causing delays due to lack of chips. And they were using chips to get built cars out of chip hold, which I praise. This week he said nothing was scheduled.

It's been almost 6 months for my order and I still haven't even been scheduled for production. If you ordered a Premium in January, chances are you'll get it fall or winter the way things are going. If you don't have a ton of patience, I'd recommend hunting one down on a lot. Make it a fun road trip if there's none near you. Not all dealers do markups.
And if we don't get this year, bye bye full tax credit. Ford will max out 200k units in Q3.

Unfortunately it seems they’re going for their highest margin vehicles first which are the Select and GT which makes sense from a business perspective but from a customer centered view it’s very frustrating
Why is the Select considered a higher margin trim? Legit question.

Cynicism is justified. Ford has produced a popular BEV (high demand) that is experiencing slow delivery (low supply). Their promise to increase production is an empty one, at the moment. Creation of the Model e Division may or may not eventually improve things, but not likely in the near future.
To free my mind of the frustration/disappointment of the Ford MME ordering situation, I used my trade-in markup to offset the Hyundai Ioniq 5 markup. I bought a BEV that's every bit as good as the MME. (I'll decide what to do with the MME order, if and when it is fulfilled. I was hoping to get a "build" date from the 3-24 scheduling for May, but no.)

My fear is that folks pay these mark ups. Never recoup that money or dealers realize people are willing to pay it and keep mark ups as standard. Good luck, keep us posted.

I ordered a Rapid Red Premium AWD right around the same time and have a very similar schedule. Don't think it's shipped yet though. Expecting in early May. Hang on everybody, it will be worth the wait! ? I wonder if the number of people ordering from a particular geographical area affects the production timeline for that area?
I think so, NC feels low on the priority list. Canada seems to be the premier location.

California, Colorado, even Texas. Either EV states, or states where EV competition is higher. In GA where I am, we are neither of those things. And dealer size/historic allocation matters too.

I can only think about less electronics, if you don't add the tech package. And I'm not sure what's the margin on the glass roof and extended range battery.

Not saying you are wrong but Ford will only hit 200,000 if they get the cars built and sold in US. So if people do not get their cars then Ford is not getting them built and sold and the 200,000 point will likewise be delayed. The full credit, as you are probably aware, continues thru the quarter after the quarter when they meet 200,000. Delays are real and suck but you still have good odds of getting the tax credit if you have a Mach on order.

I agree. I don’t see them hitting it until 3Q at best. So all of 2022 deliveries should get the full credit. I will be a grumpy woman otherwise.

It's definitely a possibility (Ford not hitting 200k in Q3 2022), and trust me, I pray for it. What we don't know is how much of the parts are going to the f150 lightning that already started the first deliveries. A bunch popping in my Twitter feed. Again, WE DON'T KNOW anything because Ford is, well, Ford.
We are consumers of Ford, but not customers. The dealers are the customers and we are not respected.
