I also know if I try hard enough and call enough dealerships, I can eventually get one within the next few weeks from someone who cancelled their order
If you think you can find a better deal, what makes you think the other guy is stupider and can't find a better deal rather than buying your car?

What does it have to do with intelligence? Some people value their time and money differently. Getting something now for a bit extra money and no need to be calling around/traveling just might be the best option for someone. To each, his own.

Folks in this thread are turning down offers to sell their 1+ year old Mach E for a profit. Folks in other threads are saying it’s dumb to pay over MSRP for a Mach E. Go figure. Mach E’s are only worth MSRP until you own one… then they are priceless.

I’d be tempted to sell/buy another one just as a do over on my early job 1 car that’s had its share of issues, but the current ADMs really make that less enticing (but one of the reasons why I can sell for such a lucrative price.) Originally I was thinking GT, but just can’t stomach over $70k for the performance, but I suppose the regular GT would be good enough :) I guess I’ll see how I feel a few months after the car comes back from the HVBJB repair.

I'm getting my recalls done this month and am considering selling too. I'll recover 100% of my cost and I might just order a new RAM 1500 and trade my 117k mile 1500 in on it when it arrives. Due to range, charging stations and limited space the MME is just not working out but for local driving. My other option is to give to my wife and trade in her Challenger GT AWD and my Ram for a new truck. This could be my last gas truck while waiting on the Chevy Silverado EV. Ford isn't getting any more of my business while I'm stuck with the worst dealership service.​

Still have my Ram but I have been checking out the Rivian. Only one problem, my Wife doesn’t like the cup holders in it! Lol

I recently traded in my '21 Cyber Orange Mach E GT (non PE) on a gorgeous Oxford White 2016 Mustang GT Premium convertible. Why? Besides having had a similar GT Premium convertible and loving it then, I was offered over $2500 more than I paid for MME GT, and that doesn't even take into account the $7500 tax credit. So basically (as I think the OP put it), I got paid $10,000 to drive the MME GT for about 7 months.

Also, knowing this was a possibility earlier this year, I placed an order for a '22 MME GT (also non-PE) before the prices went up. I used the same dealer as my first MME and am confident I will get the car for the MSRP (at the time) minus the X-Plan discount. If this environment holds, the car will be worth more than I pay for it upon taking delivery.

Interesting times we're living in.

I would sell ours. It still has SYNC issues (intermittent Glitchy screen & intermittent Audio Off errors)

We'd trade in on an Ioniq 5 or something (The Mrs. likes the MME, but really would like a smaller car), Hyundai has always been proper on service, Ford just laughs...

/coming on a year and 12,000+ miles and still SYNC screen garbage and with the new SYNC screen software in the works, getting ours fixed looks out of the question.

/schedule an appointment and their solution is factory reset and module updates (again)

/Schedule appointment? Oh you mean schedule for 08:00 and don't put the car in the bay until 14:00 because schedule just means, get you in the shop, not put you in the bay at 08:00.

/FOB-Gate... Ford admitted to job 2 cars that PAAK is CRAAP, by giving a 2nd key, but the early people have to purchase them ourselves...

/etc., etc., et. al.

/Don't get me wrong, we like the MME, it checked all the boxes for us, but we are not enamored.

Exactly. In the past, a car went down in value the minute you took it off the lot. But now, if you order a car like an MME and get MSRP (or even better with X-plan) AND you get the $7500 tax benefit, you can sell the car for a substantial profit. My car is 2 days old but I do wonder about ordering something in a year or so (since it might be available a year later), and then selling my current one. It might even be an MME but would also look at others (a bonus would be another company that provides the tax benefit). In the past I wouldn't have done that--my current cars are 6 and 9 yrs old.

Gonna be selling mine soon and got a similar offer, $57k+, 21 premium 4x w/23k miles. She’ll be gone as soon as my Rivian delivery is final. Never guessed my name would get pulled on a Rivian before Ford would consider allowing me to order a Lightning ?‍♂
Update: My MME phase is over. ? Mixed feelings in the family for sure, and if there wasn't that troublesome DCFC desert known as Mississippi I really think my wife would have kept Mockey over her Lexus. Being EV-only & travelling from Birmingham just doesn't quite make sense yet so we kept the hybrid. Daily use poses no issues of course but her car is great and we own it.

Super-easy sell process at Echo Park. Their online offer was $2k lower than Driveway but being there in person they quickly made up that gap to go to $57.5k. So I drove the MME ~15 months & 23k miles and got $1500 more than I paid for it. I didn't "make money" since I installed PPF but I'm happy. Yes, I could have sold it for even more but I don't have the time to fool with that. My Rivian is scheduled for delivery next Thursday.

With the price of EV Batteries going nowhere but up, I'm afraid all of todays EV's are going to be worth more in a year with inflation alone. The Rare Earth metals in todays Mach-E batteries values have skyrocketed. This is why Ford and Tesla are changing to LFP, Lithium Iron Sulphate to control costs.
