Got a 2022 GT on Saturday. Generally happy with it, but I think I'm missing some or all bass in the b&o sound. Audio is crisp and sounds pretty quality but has no body. Tried Android auto, Sirius, FM all the same.

Even the propulsion noise on unbridled is more a whine than anything.

Tone settings make a small difference. Moving to stereo from surround helps a bit

Is this normal?

The OEM does leave a bit to be desired in the low end, but sounds like maybe there is an issue with your DSP. It has been mentioned before on here that some didn't have it activated correctly.

all three sources you mention are not great for testing the sound. When I play bass-heavy lossless from a USB key, the bass is strong enough to noticeably vibrate the doors and can be readily felt in my legs.

That said there have been some DSP issues that were solved by dealer visits. Search for "DSP".

I mean right now our 2018 pacifica has more bass response over satellite and android auto. And my 2011 Ford Fiesta over bluetooth. I'll look at the DSP stuff

The bass in my MME is good. I am going to supplement with a sub-woofer, but if you are missing bass, it is not normal.

FWIW Sirius is pretty compressed. Use a USB or a streaming service like Tidal for full range.

hmm, to my ear going to a 10 is already pretty loud, so maybe it's working right... Should the propulsion sound have any kick to it, or is it mid-high range normally?

It doesn't really have a kick but I've probably only had it on for 2 minutes total across 3 cars.

I think I also have a dsp issue though since my 2022 is pretty anemic sounding. Maxed out at 30 it isn't as loud as when it was set to 22 on my 2021 and the bass doesn't seem as strong. Have you scheduled a service? I'll take mine in and see what they say.

Just an update after I brought her in for service. My car already had the most recent ssm/dsp update so they just reset the dsp. I still think the sound at 30 should be higher but my bass has definitely improved. I can actually feel it now and the whole system sounds significantly better.

Hmm maybe I should give this a go and see if it makes a difference. I have the latest DSP but notice bass is definitely lacking.

Just went in for service at 10000 miles and they hit about 6 modules with upgrades. One of them must have been the DSP update! It's so much nicer now.

If your rearview mirror doesn't shake from the bass at volume 10-12 it is probably not working right!
