So is there a place you can build and configure one online, or do you have to visit a dealer? If I can't even see the available options and prices, I can't be bothered to visit a dealer.

I am not looking to switch ny time soon, but I will be watching the Lyriq. As guy who had great experiences with the old Cadillacs (as in 1960s), I am curious. ??

So it looks like the form only lets you select RWD or AWD and pick a dealer.

currently car-less, but hope to get a MME!

Yup, you can't actually configure your Lyriq yet. Sucks that SuperCruise won't be enabled until late 2022.

I was considering the GV60 too but the range is very short, between 248-265 miles I think. Limits it to purely city/local driving.

It's more expensive, but I think you get better quality materials and features that the MME is lacking.

The options are super basic. RWD vs. AWD. Exterior and interior color. 20" vs 22"

Yeah, that range is a killer. Totally rules out what is otherwise a VERY attractive EV for me.

Exactly. I really like the GV60 but the AWD range is bonkers, IMHO. I have a short list of MME replacement vehicles and the GV60 was on it. Now removed due to low range.

Not a fan of the Lyric, or GM in general. So, it's not going on my list.

I am limiting myself to manufacturers that still have the $7500 credit. For me it's a big deal. Tho, to be honest, I may just be kidding myself about that perceived value since I'm looking at vehicles in a much higher bracket than the MME.

The RWD zips along from 0 to 60 in about 6.35 seconds. 315+ mile range with a 100 kWh battery.

It compares to the Genesis GV60 EV IMO.

I spoke to two Cadillac dealers about the Lyriq. They offered to order it with a small deposit and sell it at MSRP which I doubt will be possible with the Genesis.

SuperCruise will NOT be enabled at launch - much like BlueCruise on the MME. It will be patched at a later date. I feel they are rushing it out like the Mach-E
That's what a Chevy Bolt does 0-60 - pretty slow for an EV. Acceleration from a stop is where they should shine. People complain about MachE highway acceleration - that should be decidedly worse.

I don't understand why Hyundai/Genesis can give the EV6 a max range of 310 miles but then shortchange the GV60?

Agreed about the tax credit. Forgot it doesn't apply to the Lyriq.

Audi Q6 Etron is on my list. I think that qualifies for the tax credit?

EV6 300+ mile range is solely for the RWD trims which are sloooooow. Like 7.5+ seconds. The massively heavy Lyriq (5300+ lbs?) does 0 to 60 in less than 6.35 (technically that is 0 to 100 km/h).

EV6 has a 250 mile range for AWD.

The Lyriq in AWD will get a 280-ish range. About 30 less than RWD.

Is anyone else considering the Lyriq? I think it has a number of advantages over the MME. Better interior, more advanced SuperCruise, touchscreen interface still has buttons (the lack of buttons on the MME touchscreen drives me crazy).

Pricing and range are similar to the MME, although reliability is still a question mark as it's a first year car. Also no frunk and questionable rear styling (this is subjective).
I am not sure the price is similar, the Lyric starts at $63K, where the Mach e starts at $43k, so you would have to option them out to the be equal. Because that is a significant price difference. Cadilac and Lincoln are supposed to compete, not Ford and Caddy.

Here's my list:

Lightning-----have a reservation, just need to decide what to do if/when I'm offered a chance to convert to an order
BMW ix xdrive50 -- Polarizing grill for sure but the rest of the tech is spot on
These 2 are close enough in price to be the same if I go with a Platinum Lightning
Mercedes EQS SUV---Beautiful vehicle, tech is amazing. Price may be just out of reach for me tho

I put in a Lyriq reservation yesterday just in case. I like the design in many ways but to be honest the over-the-top grille & front lighting is a little much for my tastes. One of the best qualities of the Mach-E is that the design is extremely cool and interesting without turning to ornate detailing to call attention to itself .

Given the Lyriq is 10 inches longer than the MME, I assumed the Lyriq would have more cargo capacity than the MME. But - no. The cargo is rated at 28 cubic feet, vs 29 in the MME (seats up) and 60 with seats down (MME has 59.7). Plus the Mach E has a big frunk. CL - no frunk.

No doubt the Cadillac's screens and other interior details are a notch above. But overall the package and price don't seem meaningfully better than Mach E in any way I can see. And it is slower. So we're left with exclusivity. Mach Es are by no means commonplace yet but you see them around now. I expect Lyriq will be a rare sight for years.
