I just got a message on my car "Engine coolant over temperature" and "Motor coolant over temperature". I just picked it up from the dealer 4 days ago after having the HVBJB recall done and the paperwork says "Had to perform coolant bleed/fill procedure multiple times due to failure at the end." I'm sure these 2 things are related. Any advice?

Don't drive unless you're going back to the dealer. If the dealer is a long ways away, then consider having it towed.

I had a similar experience with my 2022 Mach E and the problem occurred because the mechanic didn’t realize there were two coolant reservoirs in my 2022 that required vacuum filling. I’m not sure if the newest models still have two or only one.

Could be they neglected one reservoir or just filled them without the vacuum procedure, like they’re used to doing with ICE cars. This is part of the learning curve for service departments. The vacuum procedures takes about an hour instead of 5 minutes like they are used to.

This is almost certainly what it is. I would not do any spirited driving and limit all driving as much as possible until it gets corrected

Hi there! I can look into your Mach-E's concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your Mach-E's VIN?

And here in lies the problem, IF the service departments are not up to speed on training, shop tools and the will to think away from ICE then EVs will always suffer from these kind of problems. EV only dealer service departments such as Tesla know nothing other than EVs and therefore are better suited to get things right.
