At least there is a new part number. Hopefully it will fix the issue at once.

Having the same issue as well with the coolant valve replacement. I have had my 2023 Mach-E for about a month or so with 1400 miles on it. Just got my loaner yesterday as the part is on backorder until April 30th. Guessing this has to be a pretty widespread issue.

You can add my 2023.5 Mach E AWD EXT to the list. 4500km and was diagnosed with a faulty coolant diverter valve- car would not charge with this error. As the part is on back order and will take a while, has anyone had success getting ford to cover the rental gas cost?

No, I haven’t had this issue.
Have you asked your dealer to give you a loaner Mach-e? My said that if needs he will give me one temporarily.
I’m still waiting my parts to come but I don’t know what they did that they remedy it temporarily. It’s been one week since I visited them and I have no issues whatsoever. They may glued it or did something else….hopefully won’t happen anything before I get it really fixed.

Same issue here up north in Montreal. Around 600 miles on the car. Service light came on two weeks ago. Drove it no problem until dealer appointment with an available loaner. Diagnostic of a cooling leak. Two part defective. One part received same day. Second one BO and ETA. It's frustrating for a new car having issue. And it's not a cheap car price wise to. Wondering if I made a good choice having a ford.

I hear you, I’m from Montreal too. Waiting dealer to call me, he said 5 to 7 business days. I will wait until end of next week, let’s see it.

Here in Toronto they said no ETA on parts - not looking good. Really sucks spending that kind of money to get stuck in a base explorer (coincidentally the same vehicle I traded for the Mach E).

Since my Mach-E is brand new, I'm feeling a bit vulnerable with what looks like a potential "batch" issue. So I won't be anymore pleased than others with the issue if I suffer the same fate.

Regardless, these kinds of things aren't a respecter of brand or vehicle price.

A 6 figure Porsche model can have a sudden faulty batch of a component, as well as a Toyota Corolla.

My concern will be is if my Ford Dealership can/will respond to the issue in similar fashion as a Porsche or Toyota customer would experience.

I have only had one opportunity in the last 24 years to find out how the Ford Dealership I do business with would respond. I was pessimistic because it was recently and the industry reputation has never been poorer, in my opinion. But it went better than expected, so I'm a bit less squeamish than I was.

Of course Ford, the manufacturer, holds part availability in their hands no matter how good/bad the dealership service department performs. I looked it up and the parts are fairly expensive. If they were le$$, I'd entertain fetching them preemptively.

Has anyone on here had the new parts installed and if so, were there anymore issues with this after install? Maybe it's too early to tell, I just hope it's a permanent fix and doesn't become a reoccurring issue.

Mine got 2 new coolant valves about a month ago and I’ve driven about 4,000 miles and haven’t had any more issues.

Any updates on these? I just took my 21 Premium AWD SR in yesterday for a P0ADA (Service Vehicle Soon, HVBJB?) and so far they just started looking at it and found a coolant leak. I'll know more tomorrow on the true cause, just wanted to see what happened with these leaks, as it may be relevant.
My coolant leak was erroneously called out by the service advisor. Mine was the HVBJB failure and I was back on the road in a few days, with a loaner Edge in the meantime.

Still waiting on a “small batch” of parts from overseas. I am not confident that any of those will be allocated to Canadian customers due to no lemon laws. Pretty brutal experience to be honest. It has made one thing clear, Ford is not trying from a service / post sales support perspective. Very few qualified EV techs, massive parts backlog and no viable EV loaner programs.

on the coolant Leak. So my question is, how do you notice this was there a discolored liquid on the ground, I’m new to these electric mustangs so when I hear the word coolant I’m thinking radiator fluid greenish color. Do you get some type of an indication on the gauge dashboard?

Yea, had a couple of weird things that day happen with the car, although I don't think they were related. Earlier that day, my car was parked and turned off in the parking lot (nobody was in it) and the frunk automatically opened and set off the alarm. Then for the coolant issue, I left work and as soon as I got on the freeway, I got a message on the dash saying the car needed service. I opened my phone for the details of the message and it said powertrain malfunction, reduced power. I never saw any fluid, so I dont know if its truly a leak like traditional cars.

I got the same message with no visible signs of a leak. Although, I did noticed a weird smell coming through the vents for about two weeks prior to the incident.
