I bought a 2023 MME Premium AWD December 12th and then 3 days later noticed it was leaking coolant. It has the redesigned cooling system that only has one coolant reservoir and was leaking from the 2 control valves located under the frunk. Those parts were on back order at that time with no idea when they'd be available. Now those parts are invalid according to Ford parts and there are new part numbers for the control valves and they are also on backorder. Ford customer service has been less than helpful by just saying they have no idea and will not attempt to get anyone there to give me an answer on when it might be available or if the assembly plant in Mexico has the part and could send it to me in order to get mine fixed. Has anyone else had this problem? I figured it must be a widespread issue considering that both control valves in my vehicle were leaking and that they evidently redesigned the part, giving it a new part number.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Can you look into my vehicle as well? I have filed a case with the BEV team but I have no additional information except the part is on back order.

Different part, but I’ve got the same issue - parts on back order - three weeks now and counting. The BEV team keeps checking on it but they have the same problem getting a response from the dealer’s service department as I do. It’s frustrating to say the least. I’ll leave it at that.

Hi, I had the same issue with my MME after just 2 weeks of use, but as in Canada there is no lemon law, and Ford seems to not care. This has been a terrible experience, to be honest.
I wish you the best of luck!

My coolant valve was just replaced after the car in the shop for 2 weeks. They replaced the coolant valve with the same part numbered coolant valve. There was not a new part number.

I have the same problem. My car has been at the dealership since February 15. No date for parts availability.

Any updates on these? I just took my 21 Premium AWD SR in yesterday for a P0ADA (Service Vehicle Soon, HVBJB?) and so far they just started looking at it and found a coolant leak. I'll know more tomorrow on the true cause, just wanted to see what happened with these leaks, as it may be relevant.

Finally got the parts in earlier this month and it was like a 45 minute repair. It’s been doing great since. My ‘23 coolant parts are different than the ‘21.

Good morning! Can you send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of the Ford dealer you are currently working with? I would like to see what I can do to assist with your "Service Vehicle Soon" error messages.

Lights popped up in my dash for service soon. Visit the dealer today and after 2 hours they told me that there is a coolant leakage. New part will arrive in 5 to 7 days and they may give me a loaner (if it’s just 45min repair I would not need one).
The manager told me to put water in the reservoir if the lights pops up again prior the repair. Let’s see. I have less than 2 weeks with the car, 600km. Not good at all! This make me think if I did a good choice.

Add another one to the coolant leak/valve issue. Just after St Patrick's Day, 3700 miles on it, 2023.5 GT. Took it pretty much straight in once the light popped on, and they said it is not drivable like this.

No ETA on the parts initially as they were backordered thru Ford. Dealer provided a loaner for a few days, then we were on a vacation. Ultimately it was about 2 weeks, once part (same part as was broken) was in, they replaced quickly that AM, and I was back driving. They said they looked up the same issue as what was known on multiple boards, and I was their "first" in their service shop. However they expect I wont be the last, and I'm hoping we wont be back in again, as it's not really a fix, but simply a replacement of the same part that went bad...

Not a good look for Ford on this not having a different fix, and I hope we are good now, for good. I LOVE the car, minus this issue. Never have had a new car in for service 3 months in..

These valves did get new part numbers from the ones it was manufactured with. It took 2.5 months to get mine because they were in the process of getting the new parts made. I don’t know if they truly redesigned it or just sourced a new supplier but the new numbers are PZ9Z-8C605-A and PZ9Z-8C605-B. They replaced both of them on mine.
