I have a GT AWD and my range supposed to be in the 320 range but at full charge I'm at 200 at best. Is something wrong? Is there an update needs to be done?

Your epa range is around 270 not 320.. It is conservative by default and adjusts based on driving behavior and environmental and other factors. It's just an estimate.

No. There's a hundred threads that discuss it, but in short, the Range number on the driver display (which we call the Guess-O-Meter, or GOM for short) is only a rough estimate based on many factors, including recent driving efficiency. Over time, it will collect more data and begin to even out more. But even then it tends to be on the conservative side.

Take the GOM with a big grain of salt. The miles/kWh is a better measure that helps you track how good/bad your mileage is running, which can be projected for estimated range.

Sell the car if you want 300 miles of range in the winter lol. You probably won't get that out of any current EV as far as I know....unless you do a ton of city driving with the heat off.

Where'd you get 320 from?

The HIGHEST number for any Mach-E from Ford is 305 miles for a RWD California Route 1 with the bigger battery pack. For a GT, Ford gives 260 for the PE and 270 for the non-PE. Nothing is 320.

And then, as stated, there is the cold. 200 for my AWD Premium right now on the display...

My GoM has unfortunately been pretty spot on. Oddly enough my mi/kWh does not match.

Your message is a little unclear. Where do you get "320" from? As others have mentioned the EPA is not 320 on any of the Mach E models, so is that coming from what the vehicle is estimating it's range? Likewise, where are you getting "200" from? Is that what you are actually getting instead of what is listed by the car's gauge? When you say full charge, is that at 100%, or do you have it set to only charge to something else such as 80% or 90%?

With every charge and your driving habits the range will change. After just putting under 1000 miles my range when I get in my car at 100% is about 250 when it started about 198. The car goes through learning process and bases its mileage and distance Half of your driving habits overtime. These calculations are not like a gasoline engine so the same results and behavior does not exist. What I like about the Mach E is I drive it every day and I charge it maybe once every week and a half. I get on it a lot .

That was a MIOP (meaningless indicator of performance). The GOM (Guess O Meter) simply projects your range based on past usage and current conditions. If you want a more exact range, use the miles per kw you're getting currently and multiply it by 88kw. Then remember if you drove the miles per kw under the same conditions.

Same as a gas powered vehicle. You drive it all summer and get 20mpg. It shows a range of 300 miles. Then temps drop, but you don't drive it. It still shows a range of 300 miles, but you're going to get 15 mpg with winter gas and old temps, so really only 225 miles. The difference is that the gas powered vehicle doesn't reproject based on temps and current conditions, but the Mach-E does.

The key thing to remember is that 324 number means about as much as the 200 you see now. It's the same as on gas vehicles with the DTE (Distance to Empty). It's a meaningless number put there because if they didn't, people would stare at their full tank of gas and wonder if they have enough to make it the three miles to the grocery store, apparently.

DTE is useless on gas vehicles, and the GoM is largely useless on the ME. Because it is just a guess, it can't see the future. You could go 500 miles on a Mach-E with 20 miles of range on the GoM if you found a 500 mile down hill bit of road. You could get 100 miles from a 300 mile GoM range if you have to go up a steady incline for a long period. Same thing with a gas engine vehicle.

My truck could say 700 miles to empty after a four hour road trip, but if I start driving around in town, that DTE is going to drop like a rock. It's meaningless because it has no idea what your next drive will be.

Cold weather hurts ICE and EVs alike, which is also taking a hit. Just focus on percentage of battery and enjoy the vehicle, just like how in an ICE vehicle you generally fill up based on the gas gauge, not the DTE.
