NACS adapter expected delivery date

I checked my Ford.com status for the NACS adapter and it still (Sep 26) says "September". I believe they have shipped to about 17xxx and I am at 28xxx. Given the closeness to the end of the month and current hurricane conditions I will no longer hold my breath. Why don't they at least feed the illusion and change the expected date to "October" or "November"?

yeah, I'm in the 21k range and don't expect to see mine this month. It had appeared that Tesla was manufacturing a ton of these weekly, but I'm guessing it's taking extra time to get to ford and box them up and ship them to customers, which is why you'll see a flurry of 4-5k of them go out and then there seems to be a couple week hiatus.

Can only be patient I suppose.

Planning on gifting one adapter to a bolt owning friend when the ford one arrives. Bolts got access yesterday, i think i read?

I just bought another MME and placed an order for adapter. Order is 145XXX. Estimated ship date is November 2024. My other 2 adapter, ordered on 1st day were delivered 9/12.

they're still not even close to shipping adapters just to people that ordered on the first day, which I think was in the 30k plus range. Let's not forget a portion of adapters going to rivian owners.

I think they just defaulted everybody to September at some point (me included). I expect sometime around October 1st we will all be bumped to an October estimated ship date...

Unless the free one from Ford is really, really impressive, I'm planning to sell it and just keep my A2Z. Very solid, and it comes in a nice case.

Ordered April 2024 when I picked up my car. Order #95xxx and Fords site says estimated shipping in October. Based on what I read here I shouldn't hold my breath.

Tesla just built a 16 stall supercharger near me with magic dock which will be nice this winter if i loose power this winter for several days. My expected date is October but im not holding my breath.

This has been their process since the beginning. They wait until they are close to (or at) the end of the month, and then roll everyone over. My original date was May, then June, then September. Finally got it 2 weeks ago.

Their problem is that they are just guessing about dates because they don't own the production process and are relying on Tesla to provide the adapters. September was a really big drop, so hopefully you'll get yours in the next round of deliveries.

All production has dependent parts streams, although this is certainly an extreme case.

They know how many they got last week, and how many Tesla is promising them as a ramp curve.

That should create a guess better than "roll everyone on the last day of the month".

I am not sure the numbers are important that it being "your" number. Usually these things are produced and numbered somewhat randomly. I have seen 17's get theirs and 10's still waiting

I think they've shipped about 18k worth of adapters from what I can tell. Although they've said production is ramped up, I'm guessing you're looking into spring of next year.
